John Kinziger John Kinziger 6'0" | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI — Team Herro — CG — 2023
Kinziger showed why he is regarded as one of Wisconsin’s best this past spring while playing for Team Herro on the EYBL circuit. The 2023 combo guard flashed a lot of his skill and was very impressive. Kinziger is a long-range sniper who has made a habit out of knocking down difficult shots from deep. He is also a talented ball handler who can run his team’s offense with no problem. Kinziger is a winning basketball player who should have a solid career at the next level.
Prentice Young Prentice Young 6'4" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State #273 Nation WI — Wisconsin Playground Club — PG — 2023
Coming off a serious knee injury, it appears as if Young is rounding back into shape. The point guard looked really good at times this spring for Wisconsin Playground Club. When he is at his best, Young is a lockdown defender and versatile scorer. On defense, he uses his length and strength to be extremely disruptive. On offense, the SG uses his athleticism and skill to score. Even though he missed some significant time, Young looks like a college-ready player.
Cal Klesmit Cal Klesmit 6'2" | CG Neenah | 2023 State #235 Nation WI — Wisconsin Playground Club — CG — 2023
Klesmit is another prospect that is coming off of a serious knee injury. I haven’t gotten the chance to see him in action following his injury, but I did get the opportunity to watch him compete in the two previous AAU seasons. The combo guard is a really good overall player. I really like his versatility. He can score at a high level, is a tremendous passer, and really scrappy on defense. College programs should keep an eye on Klesmit moving forward.
Kon II Knueppel Kon II Knueppel 6'6" | SG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2024 State #15 Nation WI — Phenom University — SG — 2024
Knueppel solidified his spot as the top prospect in Wisconsin’s 2024 class this past spring. I love everything about Knuppel’s game on the offensive end. The shooting guard is a pure three level scorer. He has a smooth shot from three, is able to rise up and drain mid-range jumpers, and is strong and athletic enough to absorb contact and finish at the rim. Knueppel is already a well know commodity on the recruiting front for a very good reason.
Jaquan Johnson Jaquan Johnson 5'10" | PG Pius XI | 2024 State WI — Wisconsin Playground Club — 2024
Johnson isn’t ever going to be the biggest or strongest player on the court. But the point guard doesn’t let this stop him. Johnson is blazing fast in the open court, which makes him a really dangerous weapon in transition. The PG is a tremendous slasher thanks to his incredibly quick first step. He is also an underrated passer and ball handler. Bottom line: Johnson is a fun prospect to watch who has a very bright future.
Nick Janowski Nick Janowski 6'3" | SG Pewaukee | 2024 State #126 Nation WI — Phenom University — CG — 2024
If there are college programs looking for a knockdown shooter in the 2024 class, Janowski should be a guy they take a good look at. The 2024 combo guard is a flamethrower from deep — he doesn’t miss too many open shots. He can do it in many different ways, too. Janowski can hit shots off the catch or the dribble. He can also get buckets in the midrange. Janowski is simply an outstanding shooter who puts a lot of stress on opposing defenses.
Clevon Easton Clevon Easton 6'0" | CG Madison East | 2025 WI — Team Herro — SG — 2025
I think that Easton has the potential to be one of the best college recruits in Wisconsin when it is all said and done. The 2025 shooting guard is that good. He has all of the tools. Easton is very athletic, has positional size, can score well, and is a promising defender. I look forward to seeing how Easton improves and gets better over his high school career.
