Derin Saran Derin Saran 6'4" | PG Asheville School | 2023 State NC | 6’3 Point Guard | Asheville School
Binghamton and UNC-Wilmington are the latest to offer Saran, a skilled floor general from the nation of Turkey. He’s a smooth operator that can get deep into the paint for crafty finishes, knock down shots and facilitate as he’s done for Asheville School heading into his senior season. He’s slowly climbing onto college radars with what he can do at the point guard spot.
Samuel Martin Samuel Martin 6'9" | C Apex | 2023 State NC | 6’9 Forward | Apex
Martin recently earned his first offer from Emory & Henry College over the weekend following his play in the Triangle Summer Showcase. He runs the floor well, can handle the ball in the halfcourt and plays with a ton of energy when he’s on the floor as a creator on all three levels. He’s set to have a strong senior season at Apex High.

Collin Kuhl Collin Kuhl 6'8" | SF Holly Springs | 2023 State NC | 6’8 Forward/Wing | Holly Springs
Kuhl has been on the PrepHoopsNC radar for quite a while given he was a member of Strong Center on the grassroots scene. He’s starting to turn a corner as a versatile playmaker with his skillset. He likes to snag rebounds and create easy putback opportunities and has a nice overall feel for the game with some nice athleticism to go along with it. Stetson has offered him so far.
Patrick Tivnan Patrick Tivnan 6'8" | C Charlotte Catholic | 2023 State NC | 6’8 Forward | Charlotte Catholic
Tivnan is another prospect with size and versatility that’s climbing up college radars during the month of June. He’s shown his development as a mobile big that can finish at the rim and space the floor with his ability to score from all three levels. He recently earned an offer from Navy after visiting their campus as well. Given his length and versatility, MM and LM schools would be wise to take a look.
Alex Bates Alex Bates 6'5" | SG United Faith Christian Academy | 2023 State NC IV | 6’5 Wing/Guard | United Faith Christian Academy
Bates is an intriguing wing prospect that’s starting to show his growth with United Faith Christian. He’s shown he can finish with authority at the rim while maintaining his ability to knock down shots from the 3-point arc. He’s another prospect that’s earned an offer recently from Navy to go along with offers from Campbell, Boston and Radford.
Riley Allenspach Riley Allenspach 6'11" | C Providence Day | 2023 State NC | 6’10 Center/Forward | Providence Day
Allenspach is another sizeable big man with upside in NC’s 2023 class that shined at the VA Live Shootout. He showed he could operate on all three levels and run the floor at the stretch-forward spot as well. He currently holds a slew of DI offers already with a need for some attention from in-state college coaches.

Kevon Vanderhorst Kevon Vanderhorst 6'1" | PG Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2023 State NC | 6’1 Point Guard | Trinity Academy Raleigh
Vanderhorst is an emerging floor general that’s shown flashes of what he can do on both ends of the floor. He’s an athletic floor general that plays until the final whistle, flying around making plays at the rim and making plays for others. He’s one of the biggest sleepers in the Raleigh area playing for Team Curry.
