Anthony Doppler Anthony Doppler 6'4" | SG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND from Bismarck Century plays AAU hoops with North Dakota Phenom. Anthony had a great spring and he shined over the LIVE PERIODS at Prep Hoops events. Doppler played in Indianapolis at Prep Hoops The STAGE and Prep Hoops LIVE in Lawrence. Shortly after Indy, Doppler picked up his first Division 1 offer from the University of North Dakota (UND). Anthony had an excellent high school season and he is continuing that high-level play in AAU hoops. Doppler is a big and strong guard that shoots it at a high level with deep range. He was great this spring executing sets and knocking down big shots. Anthony is no stranger to making big shots, in the high school season, Doppler drilled a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to send the Patriots to the State Tournament! Bismarck Century HC, Darin Mattern talks about Doppler
“Anthony has developed as a two-way player. He has accepted the challenge to guard at a high level, while still being a consistent scorer on the offensive end. He has improved his shot selection and understands playing every possession on both ends of the floor. He will have to provide leadership in an always grueling WDA conference.”
Director of ND Phenom, Jordan Maurer’s comments on Doppler
“Anthony is a bit of a jack of all trades for us. Offensively we can put him on the block a bit, bring him off screens as a catch and shoot guy, or use him as a primarily ball-handler in our pick and roll actions. He can stretch a defense out to 28 feet or so. He does a very nice job of putting consistent pressure on a defense. Defensively, he is a solid position defender who communicates well. He is also a really physically strong guard with good size as well which gives him good versatility.”
“Anthony will be a very nice addition to whichever school he decides to play for. He is able to operate off-ball or as a primary ball-handler and has a very deep catch and shoot range. Four things that stand out that I feel will translate well to college basketball are how tenacious he is defensively, how quickly he can make correct decisions on both ends of the floor, his obsession with getting better, and how coachable he is.“
Doppler will be busy the rest of the summer. Starting tomorrow, he will be at the MBCA showcase at East Ridge High School in MN for two days. This event is loaded with top talent from MN, ND, and SD. There is a long list of college coaches that will be in attendance checking out the event. This is Anthony and ND Phenom’s schedule for the rest of the summer.
