The set up featured 12 courts inside the NFL stadium and drew teams from multiple states, including some of the top-ranked talent in the country. I this piece we give a more detailed look at the best players we saw over the weekend with some household names and unfamiliar prospects included.
Jurian Dixon Jurian Dixon 6'4" | SG St. Augustine | 2023 State #247 Nation CA-S , 2023, St. Augustine – Dixon is a guy who we think helped himself in the minds of college coaches. The 6-foot-4 swingman is one of those players who does a little bit of everything to help his team compete. Dixon is well-known as a good slasher and finisher around the basket, but has shown an improved perimeter jump shot over the last couple of seasons. Dixon’s most college-ready skill is his defensive versatility.
Kade Bonam, 2025, St. John Bosco – Bonam put himself on the national radar in the 2025 class with his performance at Section 7. The skilled 6-foot-7 forward serves as a de-facto point guard off of defensive rebounds with his ability to push the break and use his court vision and passing IQ to make good decisions. Scoring-wise, the rising sophomore is best when taking bigger, slower defenders off the bounce and to the basket where he can finish through contact. We also saw some positive strides in Bonam’s mechanics and touch on catch and shoot opportunities from behind-the-arc.
Liam Campbell, 2024, Owyhee (ID) – Southern Californians miss watching Liam Campbell play at Harvard-Westlake, but California’s loss is Idaho’s gain. The 6-foot-5 guard is a hard-playing, no-nonsense two-way prospect whose ability to knock down triples off the catch and off the bounce provides spacing for his aggressive driving and finishing mentality. Campbell has great instincts as a playmaker for teammates and makes an impact in every aspect of the game.
Mercy Miller Mercy Miller 6'4" | SG Minnehaha Academy | 2024 VA , 2024, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame – Our first look at Miller was at the Fairfax Summer Classic and we came away from that performance noting that the 6-foot-4 wing was primed to be one of the better scorers in SoCal after transferring from Oak Hill Academy (VA). Miller solidified that notion at Section 7 as he had a number of impressive scoring efforts complete with deep three-point jumpers and strong, physical takes to the rim.
