6’7 SF Isaac Garett || Pleasant Grove || 2023
Garett is an extremally athletic and skilled forward who can dominate on both ends of the floor. Offensively Garett has a nice handle and the long strides that allow him to get to the basket. The 6’7 forward can also shoot from the outside, forcing defenses to play up on him. His skill and height make him a mismatch for both bigs and wings who try to stop him. Garett is also a strong rebounder and utilizes his wing span well on both the offensive and defensive glass. Speaking of his wingspan Garett also does a good job contesting shots with opposing offenses having a hard time getting shots over the lengthy forward.
6’7 F/C Sammy Ishiwie || Layton Christian Academy || 2023
Ishiwie is a well-rounded big who shines in multiple facets of the game. He can easily guard larger bigs as he uses his natural strength to hold his position. Ishiwie is also comfortable switching onto a guard, where his quick feet allow him to stay with offensive threats. Once Ishiwie gets a rebound, he is comfortable bringing it up himself and can be tough to handle in transition. The 6’7 big can space the floor with a smooth mid-range jumper, and if opposing bigs play too far up on him, he’ll go past them. Ishiwie always makes the right pass and is willing to do the little things to help his team win.
6’8 C Jamyn Sondrup Jamyn Sondrup 6'10" | C Springville | 2026 State UT || Springville || 2026
Sondrup is one of those players that catches your eyes as soon as you walk into the gym. The 6’8 incoming freshman has impressive footwork for his age and isn’t afraid to get physical inside. Sondrup uses his massive frame well as he shields off defenders from potentially stealing an entry pass. The big man is still raw but can score anytime he gets the ball down low. Sondrup can finish through contact and is willing to kick it back out to shooters when doubled in the restricted area. He’s also relentless on the glass and uses his lengthy wingspan to fight for every board.
6’7 F Souleymane Barro Souleymane Barro 6'7" | SF Layton Christian | 2023 State UT || Layton Christian Academy || 2023
Barro already has the build of a college player and the athleticism of one too. The 6’7 forward is a force defensively where he overwhelms opposing players. He often draws the other team’s best scorer and does a great job keeping them in front of him. In addition, Barro uses his athleticism to grab rebounds and block shots. Speaking of shot-blocking, Barro closed out his first tournament game by blocking the game-tying three as time expired. Offensively Barro uses his strength to outmuscle defenders in the paint and his athleticism to get to the rim off of drives.
