Organized by John Mosco (Archbishop Wood Head Coach) and Andre Noble (Imhotep Charter Head Coach), Philly HS Live (Session I) will once again feature a field that is absolutely loaded with talented prospects.
Below is a preview of six “must-see” games on Friday’s Philly HS Live (Session I) schedule at Jefferson University that feature prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania.
SLA Beeber vs. Neshaminy: This contest is a must-see opening day matchup as it will feature two of the spring circuit’s breakout guard prospects. SLA combo guard Maki Pettigrew (2023 / SK Elite) will go mono-y-mono with Neshaminy’s Nathan Townsend (2024 / Mt. Pleasant Bulldogs). Both have DI potential, and the highlights from this showdown should be Instagram worthy. 2:20PM on Court 1.
St. Joseph’s Prep vs. Imani Christian: An extremely deep and talented SJP roster is led by the high-level backcourt tandem of floor general Olin Chamberlain Olin Chamberlain 6'0" | PG St Joseph's Prep | 2025 State PA and combo guard Jaron McKie Jaron McKie 6'2" | SG St. Joseph's Prep | 2025 State #74 Nation PA . These two will get plenty of support from interior beast Tristen Guillouette Tristen Guillouette 6'9" | C George School | 2024 State PA and three level wing scorer Luke Brown. Imani Christian is a Pittsburgh area powerhouse that will bring highly ranked prospects like Alier Maluk Alier Maluk 7'0" | PF Long Island Lutheran | 2025 State #62 Nation NY and Obadiah Abdul Obadiah Abdul 6'0" | CG Imani Christian | 2023 State PA to town this coming weekend. 5:50PM on Court 1.
Salesianum (DE) vs. Archbishop Wood: Wood lost two of its top three scoring options to graduation, but this group will be ready to compete because moving into the lead dog role is Jalil Bethea Jalil Bethea 6'4" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State #5 Nation PA , one of the elite 3-point shooters in the state. Interior force Carson Howard Carson Howard 6'7" | PF Archbishop Wood | 2023 State PA (2nd Team All-PCL) allows Wood to dominate the paint at both ends of the floor. Also, for Wood, keep an eye on scoring guard Josh Reed Josh Reed 6'3" | CG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State PA . He is coming off a tremendous spring circuit for Philly Revolution which produced a significant rise for him in our updated Class of 2024 rankings. 7:00PM on Court 3.
Father Judge vs. Downingtown West: Thanks to a bevy of skilled prospects who return for 2021-22, Father Judge is a squad on the verge of a breakout. Four starters — wings Ernest Shelton Ernest Shelton 6'3" | CG Father Judge | 2023 State PA and Laquan Byrd Laquan Byrd 6'3" | SF Father Judge | 2024 State PA as well as point guard Kevair Kennedy Kevair Kennedy 6'1" | PG Father Judge | 2025 State PA and leading scorer Kyle Jones (15 ppg.) – are all back this summer. D-West also returns several impressive prospects that will challenge Judge’s lineup. The reigning Pennsylvania 5A state champions, Neumann-Goretti, featuring supremely talented guard Robert Wright III Robert Wright III 6'0" | PG Montverde Academy (FL) | 2024 State #35 Nation FL (PIAA 5A POY) square off with current New Jersey Group 2 state champion and TOC finalist, Camden. As you know, Camden’s roster boasts all world guard DJ Wagner (two-time Gatorade New Jersey POY). 8:10PM on Court 3.
