Ahmad Nowell Ahmad Nowell 6'0" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2024 State #36 Nation PA | 6’1 G ‘24 Imhotep (PA)
Points were at a premium in their game against Centerville (OH) and Ahmad had 23 of Tep’s 53 in the win. He used his handle to shake defenders on his way to the rim and his body to finish through contact. Additionally, he created space to get his jumpers off, making 3 from deep. Ahmad scored 12 points later against STA.
Gabe Cupps Gabe Cupps 6'1" | PG Centerville | 2023 State #80 Nation OH | 6’0 G ‘23 Centerville (OH)
Gabe is for real. He masterfully led the Elks to a 2-1 record between Friday and Saturday with his clutch decision-making. In the second half, Imhotep tried to make anybody but Cupps beat them. But every time they made a slight mistake, he made them pay with a cut to the basket or by getting off a tough shot. Indiana is getting a good one.
Deuce Jones Deuce Jones 6'1" | PG College Achieve | 2024 State #221 Nation NJ | 6’2 G ‘24 Trenton Catholic (NJ)
The attrition to TC’s roster due to graduation has forced Deuce to adapt as a player and he’s answering the bell. No longer just a fiery volume scorer, Deuce is growing into a modern guard who can also go ballistic from deep. Versus MCS, he helped them pull out an overtime win with 25 points (2 threes) and 2 free throws late (7/9). Then they fell to Plymouth Whitemarsh, but not without 29 big ones (3 threes) from their floor leader. Deuce played through foul trouble, forced turnovers and picked the right moments to turn up the heat offensively.
Jaden Kelly Jaden Kelly 6'4" | SG Roselle Catholic | 2024 State NJ | 6’3 G ‘24 St. Thomas Aquinas (NJ)
The Trojans don’t pull off the upset win over Imhotep without Jaden’s contribution. Kelly ran hard off of screens, getting clean looks from three (2 makes) and cutting to the basket. His overall movement off-ball created space for teammates because of how the defense began to tilt toward him. Even then, the rising junior guard served as a secondary playmaker, finishing with 16 points of their 61 total.
Yahmir Satterfield | 6’2 W ‘23 Imhotep (PA)
This young man just kept throwing haymakers from deep in the STA match up. Every time Imhotep needed a bucket, their offensive creators found Yahmir in the corner. He drilled four of them, totaling 13 points. Regardless of how he shot, they counted on him to do the yeoman’s work – defending on the perimeter and grabbing boards – and Satterfield came through each time. Yahmir was the perfect glue guy for them in ‘21-22 and will be again as a senior.
Jadin Collins Jadin Collins 6'1" | PG Rutgers Prep | 2023 State NJ | 6’1 G ‘23 Rutgers Prep (NJ)
For a guard prospect who did most of his work with the ball in his hand, Collins was successful without dominating the ball. Jaden created havoc on defense, picking people’s pockets and jumping passing lanes that he converted into points on the other end. Falling short a few points in the Centerville game, he carried that momentum over into the Archbishop Ryan match and helped them take home the win with 19 points.
Izaiah Hynson | 6’4 G ‘24 Salesianum (DE)
The big guard was consistent all weekend. On Saturday, Izaiah was an impact defender on the help side with his deflections. Offensively, he got downhill toward the rim and got others involved. And, of course, he got to his patented pull up jumper from all over the floor, scoring 15 total points versys Methacton.
