Lathan Boone Lathan Boone 6'1" | CG Booker T Washington | 2023 State OK is an absolute athletic stud. With him being a dual-sport athlete playing quarterback for Booker T. Washington you can see the physical nature easily translate to the basketball court. The entire weekend he carried his team to victories and you could tell that the past varsity experience helped him with his new leadership position. In a game against Union, he led a 13-point comeback in the final 2 minutes and knocked down three free throws to give them the one-point win with 2.7 seconds left on the clock. Regardless of what sport he picks for college, he will do well at the next level.
Tevin Tate | Springdale Highschool | Class of 2023 | Forward | 6’5” |
Tevin Tate is as physical as they come down low. His ability to give his team second and third chance opportunities is beautiful to watch and he plays hard on every single play. On the defensive end when guards come in the lane, he is creative being able to alter the shot without fouling. He doesn’t always get a block but just his presence alone makes guards second guess wanting to come in the lane. When posting up he is demanding a double team which leads to his guards getting open shots. He has the ability to effectively guard the pick and roll without being a liability on defense for his team. He will be a steal for anybody that chooses to recruit him
Jervais Goree | Preston Highschool | Class of 2024 | Guard | 5’7” |
Jervais Goree is small but his impact on the court is undeniable. He is the glue that keeps everybody together on the court. He uses his small frame to get to his spots and put pressure on the defense. His passing ability is on another level and see’s plays before they happen. As a spectator he will have you asking yourself, How did he see that? Although he is small in stature, his heart and competitive nature allows him to never be outdone by bigger and faster opponents. Even when teams attempted to double team him, he had the ability to see around the defense and maneuver his way through the double team to make the right play. You would think he was about to be stuck to only find out that he wasn’t affected and made something positive happen for his team. Jervais will continue to improve and turn some heads as he continues to grow as a player.
Isaiah Sealy | Springdale Highschool | Class of 2025 | Guard | 6’6” |
Isaiah Sealy is a kid that everybody should get used to hearing about. He can play both point guard and combo guard. What impressed me most about him is the pace he plays and he knows when to speed up and slow down to keep the defense off-balance. Although he is a taller guard, he understands how to protect the ball and dribble low. He is a mismatch for opposing teams because of his size and ability to always be in control without being sped up. Isaiah is a mismatch nightmare for opposing teams because he can score the ball on all three levels. On the defensive side of things, he is not afraid to go after the rebound and start the fast break. This gives him the advantage because he can see over opposing teams’ defense and has the ability to make the right pass at the right time.
