Jaden Steppe Jaden Steppe 6'8" | SF Tualatin | 2024 State #289 Nation OR (2024 Tualatin)
Steppe only played in one game for Tualatin before heading to Bellevue for the WIBCA event but it was a good one. The rising junior forward earned some tough buckets inside but also stepped out and was accurate with his jumpers. Best of all was he ran the floor well and showed good motor on both ends. He finished with 18 points.
Josiah Lake Josiah Lake 6'1" | PG Tualatin | 2023 State OR (2023 Tualatin)
Similar to Steppe, Lake only played in the overtime win over Beaverton before heading off to the showcase. As we have seen since last season ended, the rising senior guard has been aggressively getting into the lane and using his athleticism to score around the hoop or draw contact and get to the line. 15 points including six from the line.
Jalen Childs Jalen Childs 6'3" | PG Beaverton | 2023 State OR (2023 Beaverton)
Childs was aggressive with the basketball – certainly for his own offense as he racked up 17 points, but also penetrating and looking it to kick it out to Beaverton’s talented shooters. The rising senior continues to show good improvement with his long range shooting and knocked down two threes.
Jackson Weiland Jackson Weiland 6'0" | PG South Medford | 2024 State OR (2024 South Medford)
With teammates Boden Howell Boden Howell 6'3" | CG South Medford | 2025 State #394 Nation ID out due to sickness, Weiland took on more of the scoring load but did so within the framework of the offense. The rising junior point guard went with the flow of the game and even though he didn’t force shots, he still wound up with 17 points. He hit threes with his sweet stroke but also took it to the hole – including the game-winning bucket in overtime.
Esyah Pippa-White Esyah Pippa-White 6'2" | PG Gresham | 2023 State OR (2023 Gresham)
Pippa-White had things clicking for him in a blowout win over Grants Pass. We’re convinced he’s one of the most dangerous players in transition because he really gets the ball up the floor in a hurry and is able to finish around the cup. He knocked down three from distance and did a good job setting up teammates as well. 17 points in the Gophers first game.
Jaylin Ormond Jaylin Ormond 6'5" | SF Mountainside | 2023 State OR (2023 Mountainside)
Providing a paint presence in their opening game was Ormond. He was ready and available to catch inside and finish around the hoop, whether it was over or through the defender. The rising senior was tough on the glass on both ends of the floor and held his ground defensively. 20 points total.
Brayden Boe Brayden Boe 6'5" | CG Mountainside | 2025 State #254 Nation OR (2023 Mountainside)
One of the things that makes Boe special is the fact he doesn’t need to score to make an impact on the game. The rising sophomore was particularly brilliant with his court awareness and passing, and a couple of his no-look dishes to guys for scores drew oohs and ahhs from the crowd. That was also definitely with the case when he made a steal and flew in for a one-handed jam on the break while catching a body in the process.
