Brayden Boe Brayden Boe 6'5" | CG Mountainside | 2025 State #254 Nation OR (2025 Mountainside)
One of the areas that makes Boe so special is his next-level court vision and passing. At team camp he was the master of the look-away pass, sometimes getting the ball at the elbow and dishing it out so quickly out of his hands to an open teammate down load the defense had no time to react.
Jalen Childs Jalen Childs 6'3" | PG Beaverton | 2023 State OR (2023 Beaverton)
An area where we’ve seen Childs make some adjustments to his game is what he does after penetrating into the lane. Instead of mostly looking for his shot, the rising senior point guard was active in kicking it out to Beaverton’s excellent perimeter shooters which led to a handful of assists. Because he naturally draws so much attention because of his scoring ability, this made him extra dangerous as a point guard.
Esyah Pippa-White Esyah Pippa-White 6'2" | PG Gresham | 2023 State OR (2023 Gresham)
We’ve mentioned that Pippa-White is difficult to stop in transition, and that’s not just with his ability to get to the basket. The rising senior is extra hard to stop because he’s just as willing to get it to a streaking teammate for an easy score too. He did that early and often in Gresham’s second win of the day.
Ryan Schleicher Ryan Schleicher 5'7" | PG Tualatin | 2023 State OR (2023 Tualatin)
Schleicher aggressively attacked the defense off the dribble, but not necessarily for his own offense. He often looked to drive and draw in defenders in order to kick it out to teammates either cutting to the hoop or open outside for shots. The rising senior played like a pure point guard in that aspect.
Kai Russell Kai Russell 5'10" | PG Westview | 2025 State OR (2025 Westview)
Russell is a young point guard that cut his teeth on varsity late last season. The rising sophomore made some nice decisions in transition and was effective in moving the ball up the court when Westview’s press was able to create turnovers off their press.
Owen Cramer Owen Cramer 5'10" | PG Sheldon | 2024 State OR (2024 Sheldon)
He may not have been flashy, but Cramer was constantly looking to make the right play for Sheldon in their win. That often meant making the extra pass that if it didn’t lead to the direct score, would be the hockey assist.
