Darius Chesnut — G — RIT Elite 17U
Coming off a productive season at Sun Prairie, Chesnut has continued to play at a high level. Playing this weekend with RIT Elite, Chesnut is closing out his spring AAU season on a high note. The guard is very fast in the open floor. He does a nice job of using this speed to blow past opposing defenders and get layups at the rim. On Saturday morning, I thought that Chesnut did a good job of making difficult layups.
Dawson Bunke Dawson Bunke 6'5" | PF Rushford-Peterson | 2024 State MN — F — Minnesota Select 16U
Bunke was outstanding on the defensive end of the court for Minnesota Select on Saturday morning. Standing at 6-foot-6 with long arms and a strong build, Bunke does a great job of blocking shots and protecting the paint. The forward isn’t just a star on defense. On offense, Bunke has a lot of potential. He is able to use his size to grab offensive rebounds and finish in the paint.
Tayden Nave — F — CYAL Rebels 16U
In a big-time win for the CYAL Rebels, Nave was outstanding. He stands at 6-foot-4 and has a very strong build. He uses this strength to finish layups and snag rebounds. Nave is also a proficient passer for his position. If he continues to improve and add new elements to his game, the forward could develop into a real problem.
Hayden Goff — PG — CYAL Rebels 16U
Goff was all over the place on Saturday morning. The CYAL Rebels point guard was hitting deep threes, finishing layups, playing aggressive on ball defense, and even blocked a shot at one point in the first half. I was really impressed with the confidence that Goff played with. It didn’t matter what was happening on the court, Goff was fearless and phased by nothing.
Andre’ Austin — PG — Pack 17U
Seeing a prospect playing up two age groups is something that is not common. It happens from time to time, but not very often. But seeing a prospect who is playing up multiple age groups play well… well that almost never happens. However, this was not the case with Austin. He is a 2025 point guard who is playing up on a 17U squad this weekend. I was very impressed with Austin’s basketball IQ and ball handling skills. Austin is a PG prospect with real potential.
Collin Mulholland — PF — Minnesota Heat 17U
Mulholland is a prospect that uses his size to dominate on the court. He uses his combination of strength and size to get position in the paint. The power forward is a really good rebounder and finisher in traffic. On the defensive end he is also a formidable shot-blocker. Using his length, Mulholland does a great job of making offensive players think twice when they attack the basket.
