In today’s basketball, big men want to stretch the floor. With so much emphasis nowadays on three point shooting, college coaches are looking at bigs who have a versatile skill set. I personally still value true centers, but having size, and the ability to play multiple positions is a great tool for a team to have. It makes for a tough player for the opposing team to matchup with.
The Prep hoops staff has recently released the update New England 2023 rankings. Here we look at ranked versatile big men.

JP Estrella JP Estrella 6'11" | C Brewster Academy | 2023 State , Brewster Academy, HT 6’11 position F/C, AAU Middlesex Magic

JP is the real deal, and a high level division 1 prospect. He holds many division 1 offers including Duke, and Kansas. JP has grown a lot over the past years, and is starting to grow into his body. He can handle the ball very well for his size, and is aggressive attacking the basket. He has the ability to shoot from the outside, and can also be a force in the post.  He might be the biggest stock riser of all this year. He is very athletic, and moves very well for his size.
