Davion Hannah Davion Hannah 6'5" | SF Nicolet | 2025 State #33 Nation WI (6’5 2025 W, Nicolet)- After a strong freshman year at MAS, Davion is now at Nicolet and looks ready for a standout sophomore season. At 6’5 he’s extremely long and athletic, which makes him a dangerous defender. Against a tough matchup on Dominican, Davion was locking up and making it tough to get an inch of space. Not only can he defend on the perimeter at a high level, but he blocks shots like a center with his ability to move into position in the half-court as well as chase guys down in transition. Offensively he showcased a smooth jumper from three, the ability to create his own looks off the dribble, a nice faceup game out of the post, and fluid athleticism out in transition. Helped lead Nicolet to a big win over Dominican.
Devin Brown Devin Brown 6'7" | PF Milwaukee Academy Of Science | 2025 State #196 Nation WI (6’6 2025 F, Milwaukee Academy of Science)- You won’t find many guys Devin’s size who can explode off the floor like he can. He just has a quick burst off the ground that makes him a major shot blocking threat, as he can quickly react to the offensive player to get up and block their shots. MAS likes to full court press, and having Devin waiting under the basket to contest allows their guards to make more chances to jump passes and force turnovers. Offensively he’s been expanding his game and can take guys off the perimeter at times, but he’s also a low post threat due to his strength and finishing ability. Can take one dribble on the block and just power through contact to finish inside.
Isaiah Allen Isaiah Allen 6'4" | CG Milwaukee Lutheran | 2024 State WI (6’4 2024 G, Milwaukee Lutheran)- Isaiah just continues to improve each time I see him play. He now stands around 6’4 with a strong and explosive frame that allows him to make plays around the rim. In the game I watched he was finding success posting up smaller guards to get looks around the rim, and also made some nice cuts off the ball. Elevates with ease to finish over the top of shot blockers. Shot wasn’t falling in the game I watched, but I know from seeing him in the past that he’s a player that has to be accounted for from beyond the arc. Defensively Milwaukee Lutheran is very guard heavy, so he spends some time on the perimeter in his true position but also spends a lot of time defending opposing teams’ tallest players in the post and does a nice job of fighting for position against physical players. Blocked two shots last night.
Davion Thomas-Kampula (6’ 2023 PG, Racine St. Catherine’s)- St. Cats has a history of talented guards coming through their program, and Davion looks ready to help lead the team to Metro Classic Conference contention once again. I was able to catch the last 10 minutes against Nicolet, and Davion played with a ton of confidence and toughness to help lead his team to a win. Offensively he can hit threes off the catch, create space off the dribble for a pull-up jumper, and also get to the rim for some tough finishes. He’s an exceptional athlete who excels in the open floor, and doesn’t make too many mistakes with the ball. On the defensive end he’s the type of player who’s going to defend the opposing team’s star, even if it’s someone a few inches taller than him. He’s just that type of athlete who can make big plays on both ends of the floor.
Miles Graham (6’10 2023 C, Nicolet)- Miles continues to get more comfortable using his size to make plays on both ends of the floor. When he touches the ball on the block he’s a force that has to be double teamed. Did a nice job of recognizing where the double was coming from, and getting the ball out to the open man. When the double was late he can just overpower his defender with a hard dribble to the rim and he showed soft touch to finish at a high percentage. Defensively he works hard to move his feet at his size, and does a nice job of going straight up to contest shots around the basket. Can also float around the perimeter a bit on offense where he has a nice looking shot and can also see over the defense to zip in passes to cutting teammates.
Deshawn Webb Deshawn Webb 6'3" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2023 State WI (6’2 2024 G, Milwaukee Academy of Science)- Deshawn came off the bench and provided a spark for MAS. He’s an electrifying player who is so quick with and without the ball. Has really long arms and utilizes that length to tip passes and get up on opposing ball handlers to cause disruptions. When there’s a loose ball, it’s highly likely that Deshawn is going to be the first player their looking to gain possession for his team. Had a couple of tough finishes at the rim as well as some nice passes off the dribble to set his teammates up to score.
Derrick Johnson Derrick Johnson 6'3" | CG Dominican | 2024 State WI (6’2 2024 G, Dominican)- When Dominican was struggling to get much offense going in the first half, it was Derrick who started putting points on the board. He has one of the quicker releases you’ll find in the state, and is an accurate shooter from beyond the arc. Really impressed me with his ability to beat his initial defender off the dribble before scoring with a high arching floater. Someone who just makes smart reads with the ball and doesn’t get fazed when a double team comes. Poised prospect who can excel at either guard spot, and should be in for a big junior season.
