(DeSmet): The 6’3″ 2023 shooting guard had an impressive weekend knocking down 3-pointers. He was hitting an average of four to five triples in the two games I watched him. He was also very assertive on the offensive end as he looked to attack the basket and shoot it off the dribble. He’s gotten stronger physically and improved his athleticism over the years and he is able to play through contact. He also did a nice job of getting on the offensive boards.

(Whitfield): The 5’11″ 2023 point guard displayed good quickness, yet still played a very controlled game where he didn’t force a lot of things. In addition to his high basketball IQ, he has a smooth shooting stroke from 3-point range and excellent passing skills. He can also stop and pop from the mid-range area. He plays off of two feet very well and it always on balance.

(Vashon): The 6’5″ 2023 combo forward was very assertive as he attacked the basket with authority. He scored on some tough drives and a nice spin move that was quick and very tight. He drew a lot of fouls and scored on a number of conventional three-point plays. He was also strong on the offensive boards, where he got several putbacks.
Anthony Gause (CBC): The 6’2″ 2024 guard is very offensive minded with the ball, but I was impressed with how he was able to get buckets with his off-ball movement and cutting ability. His perimeter jumper looked smooth, whether it was from the mid-range or from 3-point territory.
Antonio Starks-Flewell (Springfield Central): The 6’2″ 2024 guard is a talented offensive player who scored on some creative drives to the basket. What impressed me most about his play was how he was able to have an impact without having the ball in his hands. He was getting into the passing lanes and getting steals and making all kinds of hustle plays with his energy. He was constantly setting up teammates and playing unselfish basketball.
CJ Lang CJ Lang 6'1" | CG Webster Groves | 2023 State MO (Webster Groves): Whether it is in a high school setting or a showcase event, the style of play of this 6’1″ 2023 point guard always works he’s committed to team success. As usual, he’s always playing strong defense and distributing the ball to open teammates and rebounding well for a guard. He also scored on some nice runners in the lane.

(Chaminade): The 6’10″ 2025 forward did nice job offensively around the basket as she scored with his lefty touch inside. He did an excellent job of holding up against the physical play that the big kid usually gets and he kept pushing. He has good hands and he also passed the ball well. He also hustled up and down the court on rim runs.

(Webster Groves): The 6’1″ 2023 guard was a late addition to the event and he had a very solid showing for the weekend. He made perimeter jumpers off the dribble and displayed some good moves in the lane on the jump stop off of two feet. He scored after some nice pivots and and up-and-under moves in traffic. He was also on aggressive as he moved his feet and competed hard against some talented offensive players.
