Memorial Weekend: AZ Standouts: PF/C’s
2023
Jayven Driscoll PF 6’5 North Canyon (Southwest Rebels)
A burly power forward has some pop to his step. He is an efficient finisher near the basket and is good getting downhill. He can play with his back to the basket and he plays with some physicality. His motor helps achieve many of his traits. He will be a nice compliment with their talented group of guards.
2024
Jovan Milicevic Jovan Milicevic 6'9" | PF Canyon International Academy | 2024 State #100 Nation AZ Dream City (AZ Unity EYBL 16)
One of the top match-ups of the entire event had Unity taking on Paul George Elite EYBL. Jovan was nearly impossible to stop. He was living inside and cashing in. He is sneaky quick for his size and has advanced post footwork plus is extremely patient. He scores on offensive rebound put backs, cuts and he is an incredible passer for his size. He has that Nikola Jokic type of game.
Travis Torain Travis Torain 6'7" | SF Dream City Christian | 2024 State #173 Nation AZ Dream City (AZ Unity EYBL 16)
A long fluid wing forward has the skill to score it from inside and out. His 3pt stroke is pure and will rebound in his area. His length on defense is really starting to be the reason he is so valuable to this team. He disrupts the passing lanes to collect steals and blocks shots.
Ibrahim Souare Ibrahim Souare 6'10" | C Dream City Christian International | 2024 #207 Nation AZ Dream City (AZ Unity EYBL 16)
A freaky athlete is an elite jumper who also comes with a big time motor to rebound the ball in and out of his area. Anytime there was a scrum, it was Souare coming up with the ball. He also seems to be a step quicker then anyone at his position. He blocks out of area shots on the norm and he will handle it and push the rock from time to time. When left open, he can make the three.
2025
Jayden Quaintance Dream City Christian (Paul George Elite 16 EYBL) (Pictured)
An impressive prospect is the youngest in the class that I am aware of and also happens to be 6’9 with a 7’4 wingspan. He has massive hands and handles the ball well for his size. He has a nice touch around the rim to score plus he will score on way above the rim dunks. Defensively he moves fluidly from end to end and he can switch and recover quickly. He blocks shots and rebounds at a good clip and he can step out and hit the three.
Luke Danielson Luke Danielson 6'6" | PF American Leadership Academy Gilbert North | 2025 State AZ Higley (UH Elite 15 UAA Rise)
A thicker forward who looks like he grew one to two inches in the last year. He really likes contact and he will drive to the basket and score through defenders. He can pull-up from mid-range with some success and his game is all about strength and his motor. He is becoming a stud rebounder using those attributes and gives his team extra possessions.
Jeremiah Jones Jeremiah Jones 6'10" | C Perry | 2025 State AZ Arizona College Prep (UH Elite 15 UAA Rise)
My first viewing of the big man and he showed me some flashes. He is a long and tall legit sized center. He contests shots in his area and will rebound. He does need to put on a ton of weight but once he gets stronger and plays the game more, he should be a player to track down the road.
