Eli Sawyers Eli Sawyers 6'7" | SF Southeast Of Saline | 2023 State KS (SE Saline)- Eli, a familiar name to the competition, he gets better with time. He has great size and uses it well with his ability to wall up defensively and plays without fouling. With how aggressive he plays, playing without fouling is huge for this Saline team. Being able to keep him on the court to make plays always gives them a chance to win any game they play in. Eli loves to get out in transition and run so he can showcase his ability to finish at the rim. Has great athleticism when finishing at the rim on a fast break, often times throwing it down for a dunk. Has good footwork and vision when playing with his back to the basket.
Zach Winter (Andale)- Winter, a returner for this state Andale team plays a huge role for their success. Zach is a knock down shooter for this Andale team. The lefty guard knows how to play within the offense so you never know when he’s going to get his shot off but when he do you can almost assume it’s going in. As Andale return majority of their team, expect Winter to contribute big minutes and big points to give his team a great chance at returning to state.
Ryle Riddlesperger Ryle Riddlesperger 6'2" | PG Hugoton | 2023 State KS (Hugoton)- Ryle the all state guard returning will be looking to make a big splash for his Hugoton leading them far in the playoffs. Ryle can flat out shoot it from anywhere on the court and when he gets hot its going to be a long game for everyone else. Hitting 3 corner 3s back to back to back is just one of the few things he can do. Riddlesperger loves to set up his teammates and make plays for them to score when he isn’t scoring. He does a great job of drawing in 2 defenders and making the right play which is usually a dump off to his teammate under the rim, simple plays like this often times get the crowd going as well as his teammates.
Emitt Gaskil (Hugoton)-Gaskil has a slasher type of game that you love to see. Its not too many players that have the ability to play without the ball but Emitt does a great job at it which makes it easy for everyone else. He showed multiple possessions how much of a threat he was by just making a strong cut to the rim or back door finishing the lay up. After the lay up he sprints back and instantly starts communicating on defense about the next possession, his energy is contagious. he showed flashes in the game that he could be a vocal leader and a glue guy for his teammates.
Griffin Heger (Hugoton)- Griffin, the short stocky guard loves to get in there and play physical. You love his physical play and he shows he has been in the weight room. With his strength at the guard spot and his heart that he plays with, he isn’t afraid to go rebound amongst the trees. He plays physical on both ends of the floor, using his body on the offensive end to fight through the contact and get to the rim.
