Jasiah Shields Jasiah Shields 6'0" | PG Derby | 2023 KS , 6′ PG, Derby, Oz Elite, 2023 (Pictured): A really solid back court piece who will help a really intriguing Derby team this season and is a nice playmaker for his grassroots program that is loaded with scoring guards. Does a nice job of changing direction and changing speeds off the dribble with a nice repertoire of moves. Has a good floater game in the middle area, can attack from the wings, and good at getting downhill of ball screens to create advantages on offense.
Patrick Mccallop Jr Patrick Mccallop Jr 5'10" Bishop Miege | 2023 KS , 5’11 PG, Bishop Miege, 2023: A terrific athlete and good story to follow after injury took him out from last high school season and was cleared right before track season and ended up winning a bunch of medals. His speed, agility, quickness, and burst translates on to the basketball floor as he is a blur in transition and puts a ton of pressure on the rim. Will see his first real consistent hoops action this July and will be good to see his point guard playmaking ability back on the court getting by guys off the bounce and creating in the paint.
Kellan Simoneau Kellan Simoneau 6'2" | PG Rose Hill | 2023 State KS , 6’1 PG, Rose Hill, Team Buddy Buckets, 2023: A terrific shooter and shot maker can easily hide the fact that he is also a terrific overall point guard. Great feel for the game, spacing on the floor, and where to get himself or others into great spots to succeed. Really reads screens well as either the primary ball handler or coming off screens to find shots. Should be primed for a big July.
Gavin Harvey Gavin Harvey 5'10" | PG Blue Valley West | 2024 State KS , 5-foot-10 point guard, Blue Valley West, MoKan, 2024: High IQ point guard who had a solid spring and paired it with a good June. Gets downhill off the dribble, finds guys for shots, can spot up himself and knock down shots, and is a tough defender on the ball. Harvey should have a really solid July with MoKan 2024.
Jaalan Watson Jaalan Watson 5'8" | PG Olathe North | 2025 State KS , 5’8 PG, Olathe North, Marcus Denmon, 2025: Had a terrific freshman season at North and was big time for Marcus Denmon in the spring. Is a high energy, springy, and hard working point guard with a ton of time to grow with a great base of talent and ability. A young point guard that plays well beyond his years and that is really evident in his passing ability and court reading. Is lethal grabbing boards and pushing in transition and creating all sorts of easy bucket opportunities, understands getting into the lane under control, and is an overall dynamic point guard.
