Desmond Roberts Desmond Roberts 6'5" | SF St Anne’s Belfield | 2023 State VA – 6’5 Wing/Forward – STAB
Roberts stepped his game up in a big way on Day 2 at DMV Live at DeMatha. He’s a wiry wing prospect at 6-foot-5 that won’t hesitate to play above the rim on both ends but can also operate on the perimeter. He finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a block in a comeback victory over Paul VI and dished out four assists in a victory over Archbishop Spalding to show his growth in the class. He’s a prospect that’s flying under the radar in VA’s 2023 class.
John St. Germain John St. Germain 6'2" | PG St. Anne's Belfield | 2023 State VA – 6’2 Point Guard – STAB
St. Germain has been a highly-touted recruit for quite some time now in Virginia’s 2023 class but he still remains unsigned. He’s got sharp skills as a floor general that allows him to get to his spots on all three levels and make plays for others. He had a total of 18 assists to just two turnovers across their two victories to show off his ability to take care of the ball.
Carter Lang Carter Lang 6'9" | C St. Anne's Belfield | 2023 State #199 Nation VA – 6’10 Forward – STAB
Lang is a well-oiled machine on the interior for STAB. He’s another intriguing 2023 prospect that continues to turn heads with his ability to operate on the interior as a rebounder, finisher and rim protector. He’s produced 21.8 ppg, 10.5 rpg and 1.5 bpg across their four games at DMV Live at DeMatha and should take home some high major offers after this weekend.
Emanuel Richards Emanuel Richards 6'5" | CG Christ School | 2023 State NC – 6’4 Guard – Christ School
Richards is the epitome of a big guard prospect with a college-ready frame already to go along with his height at 6-foot-4. He can handle ball pressure well and the physicality of getting to the paint with his handles and is quite the underrated athlete as well with an ability to finish. UNC-Asheville is the latest school to offer him as he’ll be a steal at the next level for whoever gets him.
Anthony Robinson Anthony Robinson 6'9" | PF Christ School | 2023 State NC – 6’10 Forward – Christ School
Robinson is a big man that’s slowly figuring it out over at Christ School on the interior. He finished on Day 2 with production of 14.0 ppg, 12.8 rpg and 2.0 bpg, showing off his ability to rebound in bunches, protect the irm and finish with authority. He’s added offers from Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington and UNC-Asheville over the past month with his play.
Mike Williams Mike Williams 6'3" | CG Bishop Walsh | 2023 State #141 Nation MD – 6’3 Point Guard – Bishop Walsh
Williams was one of the best on-ball defenders on Day 2 and showed why he’s climbing on so many college radars on Day 2. He racked up six steals across two games and created pure chaos on the defensive side of the ball when he could. He’s a prospect that continues to draw interest as a defend first floor general.
Marcel Gardner Marcel Gardner 6'9" | C St. Andrew's | 2023 State MD – 6’9 Forward – St. Andrew’s
Gardner is a late-blooming prospect that’s figuring things out for St. Andrew’s Episcopal. He showed off his potential as a game-changer with his game-winning turnaround shot in sudden death overtime to seal the game. He showed flashes of his ability to play at the rim and step out at the stretch-forward spot. He’s a name to get to know in VA’s 2023 class.
Riley Allenspach Riley Allenspach 6'11" | C Providence Day | 2023 State NC – 6’10 Forward/Center – Providence Day School
Allenspach was another big man who had quite the productive Day 2 at DMV Live at DeMatha. He finished out Day 2 averaging 24.0 ppg, 9.7 rpg and 1.3 spg after posting 33 points and 13 rebounds on 14-of-22 shooting to kick off the day for the Chargers. Mid-majors would be wise to jump on him.
