Jaxon Prunty Jaxon Prunty 6'6" | SF Lexington | 2024 State SC – 6’5 Guard – Providence Day School
Prunty is a guard prospect with potential as a versatile wing once he shores up his shooting stroke. He’s got all the tools to run the shows, handle the ball and make plays as a guard. But his shooting struggled a bit as he put up splits of 7.0 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 4.5 apg. His development on the perimeter will be a key in how far his recruitment will go. For now, he’s a prospect that LM/MM schools should key in on.
Keenan Wilkins Keenan Wilkins 5'11" | PG Christ School | 2024 State NC – 5’10 Point Guard – Christ School
Wilkins has shown tremendous growth with his game in adjusting to the point guard role after averaging 30+ ppg at the public school level this past season. He did well to control the pace and run the show, finding his offense when needed and being a presence on the defensive side of the ball. He posted 13.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.5 apg and 2.5 apg while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range. In his best outing, he finished with 26 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals on 7-of-8 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 from 3-point range. Livingstone College is the latest to offer.
Tyonne Farrell – 6’6 Forward – Mount St. Joseph’s
Farrell is an prospect that caught my eye alongside Amani Hansberry Amani Hansberry 6'7" | C Mount St. Joseph | 2023 State #52 Nation MD in the MSJ frontcourt. While Hansberry showed his ability on the perimeter, Farrell was even more impressive at his efforts on the interior. He got rebounds out the net and pushed the pace with his ability to attack and showed he could make plays for others finishing with 3.3 apg along with 18.3 ppg and 7.5 rpg to show off his ability to make things happen at the forward spot. He’s a name that needs to be on college radars.
TJ Robinson TJ Robinson 6'3" | SG Immaculate Conception | 2024 State #163 Nation NJ – 6’2 Guard – Bishop Walsh
TJ Robinson TJ Robinson 6'3" | SG Immaculate Conception | 2024 State #163 Nation NJ showed flashes of what he could do as a lead guard. As he adjusts to some new blood in the rotation, look for his shot selection to shore up a bit. He was a bit off in a few games but still managed to have solid outings with 13 points, seven assists and four rebounds coming in his best all-around performance of the event. He’s a 2024 prospect with some potential to develop in the Bishop Walsh backcourt.
Patrick Ngongba Jr. Patrick Ngongba Jr. 6'10" | C Paul VI | 2024 State #25 Nation VA Jr. – 6’9 Forward/Center – Paul VI
Ngongba battled a knee injury on Day 2 but when he was on the floor his impact was hard to deny on the interior. He takes up space with his solid frame and utilizes his size to rebound the ball and make things happen around the rim on offense. He opened things up with 12 points, three rebounds and two steals against St. Anne’s Bellfield. He’s a stock-rising big man to watch in VA’s 2024 class.
Isaiah Abraham Isaiah Abraham 6'7" | SG Paul VI | 2024 State #62 Nation VA – 6’6 Wing/Forward – Paul VI
Abraham is another name to keep an eye on with his length and athleticism. He showed he could get up the floor in a hurry and finish with authority and meet opponents at the rim as well on defense. He was quite the spark off the bench for Paul VI’s rotation, flying around the rim and creating havoc defensively. He’ll be a name to watch heading into the 2022-23 season.
Lleyton Thomas-Johnson Lleyton Thomas-Johnson 6'4" | SG Christ School | 2024 State NC – 6’4 Wing/Forward – Christ School
Thomas-Johnson is a new face to me that showed flashes of what he could do as a rebounder and finisher in the paint. He also wasn’t shy about stepping out and knocking down shots on the perimeter (4-of-6 from 3 on the weekend). He’s a 2024 name that’s on the radar over at Christ School now after posting 6.0 ppg and 5.8 rpg in four wins for the Greenies.
Goap Kodi Goap Kodi 6'10" | C Georgetown Prep | 2024 State MD – 6’9 Forward – Georgetown Prep
Kodi was an intriguing dual-forward prospect that shined in the Georgetown Prep rotation at DMV Live at DeMatha. He showed he could operate on all three levels while still utilizing his size at a shot-blocker and rebounder. He finished the weekend with 8.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg and 2.5 bpg and picked up an offer from Mount St. Mary’s to add to his list.
Jayden Brown Jayden Brown 6'6" | SF St. Andrews Episcopal | 2024 State MD – 6’6 Guard/Wing – St. Andrew’s
Brown is an emerging prospect in the VA 2024 class at St. Andrew’s Episcopal with some upside in his game. He showed he could get downhill and finish in traffic and showed off his prowess as a defender and shot-blocker in spurts. He’s a name to get to know for colleges at the DI and DII level given his length and athleticism.
