The event featured some of the top private schools from Maryland and Virginia, and had hundreds of college coaches in attendance. We’ll have tons of content from the weekend, continuing with part two of the 2024 standouts from the MD schools.
Lee Bruner Lee Bruner 6'1" | PG Georgetown Prep | 2024 MD | 6’0” CG | Georgetown Prep
Bruner was a big time standout for Prep who’s a young but talented team and he both ran the show and made others better while also scoring the ball consistently off the bounce. He plays with good pace and changes speeds and directions well, he finished well through contact and traffic and he showed the ability to make plays for others when he got in the lane. He got after it on both ends of the floor and made winning plays consistently for his team.
Goap Kodi Goap Kodi 6'10" | C Georgetown Prep | 2024 State MD | 6’9” C | Georgetown Prep
Kodi is a very intriguing prospect who continues to improve on the offensive end and is a big time post presence that has a ton of upside moving forward. He has good length and timing as a shot blocker and rebounds well on both ends of the floor, he showed good touch in the paint and he can step out and knock down shots too and he can finish above the rim when he can catch and finish. He was a walking double-double and as he continues to improve should have college coaches coming in waves.
Tarik Robinson | 6’1” PG | Bishop Walsh
Robinson had a great showing for Bishop Walsh in the games I watched as the 6’1” lead guard was dynamic off the bounce and made plays as both a scorer and distributor. He’s shifty off the bounce and has great speed in transition, he showed the ability to create space and knock down shots from multiple levels and he put constant pressure on the defense and got to the line consistently. He got after it on both ends of the floor and was a nightmare to try to keep out of the paint.
Khani Rooths Khani Rooths 6'7" | SF IMG Academy | 2024 State #16 Nation FL | 6’7” F | Bishop Walsh
Rooths transferred from Georgetown Prep to Bishop Walsh and in his first event with his new team he showed all the tools that make him such an intriguing prospect. He has great length and athleticism and made quite a few impressive plays around the rim, he’s versatile as he can play and guard multiple positions and he showed the ability to create off the bounce in transition and in the half court set. He’s a walking mismatch who can impact the game in a number of different ways.
Jewel Walker | 6’4” F | Bullis
Walker is an undersized forward who has a bully style game to him and is very productive across the board. He’s a versatile player who can play on the perimeter and make shots and go inside and outmuscle smaller defenders, he can rebound and runs the floor hard and he plays much bigger than his 6’4” frame would suggest. He’s highly productive and does a lot of the little things to help his team win.
Caden Diggs Caden Diggs 6'7" | SF Bullis | 2024 State #125 Nation MD | 6’6” WF | Bullis
Diggs was one of the top stock risers from the event, picking up a number of offers after he showed his versatility and athleticism at his size. He runs the floor well and finishes above the rim consistently, he can play and guard multiple positions and he can knock down shots from deep off the catch. He has tons of upside moving forward and is just now tapping into how good he can be moving forward.
