Isaiah Anderson Isaiah Anderson 5'9" | PG McQuaid Jesuit | 2024 State NY 5’8 McQuaid Jesuit 2024 – I was amazed by Anderson’s ability to finish over much larger defenders in traffic. Very crafty around the rim and found ways to constantly get to the free-throw line. Teams would focus on Anderson, an improving facilitator who increased his assist output as the weekend went by, and he was able to get the ball out of his hands to the correct teammate.
Chris Powell Chris Powell 6'3" | SG University Prep | 2025 State NY 6’3 Uprep 2025 – Powell has done a very good job all spring, boosting his stock all season long. Come to the rankings update; he will be in the top 10 in his class. Powell is a high-level scorer who gets it done at all three levels. His athleticism immediately shows when watching as he’s a high flyer in every game. Showed ranged that extended well beyond the high school three-point line, and it was very exciting to watch.
Khaleeb Obieke Khaleeb Obieke 5'9" | PG McQuaid Jesuit | 2025 State NY 5’9 McQuaid Jesuit 2025 – Another stock riser is Obieke who is the definition of a true point guard. This weekend he showed the ability to make correct reads and very tough passes in the lane and against the zone. His ability to score the basketball, which he generally doesn’t have to do on his squad. Got into the lane and finished well with an arsenal of moves.
Chase Welch Chase Welch 6'0" | PG Park | 2023 NY 5’11 Park School 2023 – I had a chance to see Chase in each of the past three weekends, and he is a quick shifty guard who knows how to run his team. He was very vocal in the game I watched on offense and defense, and his team seemed to follow his lead whenever they were in trouble. Welch finishes nicely around the rim with both hands, but his ability to handle the ball with elite quickness makes him a very intriguing guard to watch out for next season.
Isaiah Odom Isaiah Odom 6'4" | PG St Joes | 2023 NY 6’4 St. Joseph’s Collegiate 2023 – Odom showed an improved three-point shot this weekend as he knocked down four threes in the game I watched. Defensively, he’s very physical and quick on his feet, allowing him to guard multiple positions. He sees the floor well, slows the game down, and facilitates surprisingly well.
