Jayson Schwarz 2024 6’5 New Braunfels High School (Elevate Elite SA)
Jayson is a very impressive athlete with all the tools as a wing prospect to affect the game across all three levels. I loved watching him manipulate the defense with a live dribble and was great at taking bigger defenders off the bounce with his speed and athleticism. He routinely got around his opponent and showed off his quick feet going up and down the court. He showed an ability to routinely finish in the paint, and loved attacking the defense off the pick and roll. He set good screens, but more importantly got into space to affect the defense and put pressure on the interior. He really made the defense pay out of the pick and pop as well, routinely knocking down shots off the catch from the top of the key and the wings. He is deadly as a trailer option, constantly moving into space to separate himself whenever the defense is discombobulated on the break. Schwarz was incredibly mobile on both ends of the court, using his athleticism to defend on the perimeter but also protect the rim.
Kevin Piedra 2023 6’1 Taft High School (Elevate Elite SA)
Kevin is an aware shooting guard who looks to be the ideal glue guy on any team he steps on through his ability to catch and shoot, or attack the defense through the high post and in the corners. I was very impressed with how well he operated with his back to the basket, making crisp cross-court passes to set up a teammate for a better shot opportunity. Piedra always seems to be making just the right pass to set up a teammate, either within the half court making touch passes after drawing the attention of the defense. I was most impressed with how well he consistently made 3/4 court passes to find streaking teammates. On the defensive end of the court, he does all of the little things necessary to be successful as an on ball defender. He is a great help defender, using his active hands to poke the ball free from opponents driving into the paint. Since the last time I have seen him play, he has really worked on his handle and his ability to control the pace more as a combo guard.
Caleb Barrett 2023 6’4 Kingdom Collegiate Academy, Dallas (Team Grrr)
Caleb is an aggressive combo guard who specializes in his ability to get into the teeth of the defense with his handle. I was blown away with his foot speed and how quickly he got by defenders with a crossover. He loves getting into the paint and forcing the defense to react. I loved watching him attack the rim and finish over taller defenders, but also make the smart dump off passes to his bigs whenever they turned their attention to him. His aggressiveness allows him to attack the rim time and time again, constantly slashing and putting real pressure on the middle of the defense. I would like to see him work on his ability to score from the perimeter, especially with a live dribble. With the amount of space he is able to routinely create with his crossover, he should be able to separate himself across the other two levels of the floor.

Kevin is a towering force on the interior who has grown in leaps and bounds with his ability to make plays since the last time I saw him in action. I was very impressed with how smart he has become with his back to the basket, constantly scanning the floor waiting for the defense to send help and allow him to punish them with a pass. His ability to fire cross court passes out to his shooters who were able to just catch and shoot, but also find cutting teammates forced the rest of the defenders to hug their man just a little tighter, allowing him to dominate his one on one match-up down low. He is incredibly strong down low, fighting through contact and keeping the ball high on his way to impressive and one finishes. He is a consistent free throw shooter with good form, allowing him to punish the defense for lazy coverage and should be a good indicator he can stretch the floor as he continues to grow. I would like to see him continue developing his handle and attacking the defense out of the triple threat. He is beginning to see the floor at a very high level and if he can continue to quickly attack mismatches down low, he can easily average 16-18 points a game.
JaCovey Campbell JaCovey Campbell 5'8" | PG Accelerated Prep | 2024 TX 2023 5’9 McKinney High School (Team Grrr)
JaCovey is an intelligent point guard who thrives in the half court, he creates a plethora of shot opportunities for his teammates. He is great at getting into the teeth of the defense and kicking it out to his shooters on the wing. His ability to create opportunities for his teammates in the half court allows everyone to touch the ball and affect the game. He seems to be reading the game just one step ahead of the defense every time down the court. I was very impressed with how well he uses his eyes to manipulate the defense, literally moving his opponents out of his way with a simple head fake. He routinely set up his bigs in the half court, and calmly operated the pick and roll. He made good decisions every time he had the ball in his hands. Campbell is the kind of old school point guard that is almost becoming a lost art this day in age. He is not just a passer, he got into the teeth of the defense and finished at the rim even dispute the size disadvantage.
