Juwan Turner Juwan Turner 5'10" | PG Pickerington Central | 2024 State OH (2024) Reynoldsburg
Capital proved to be the first look at Turner with his new team. Turner, not too far past strong performances with Nova Village, facilitated the Reynoldsburg offense in a dominating win over Lebanon. Turner has a thicker frame for a guard and impressed me with his passing abilities. While he has to be more of a scorer at times with Nova, Turner can be more of a facilitator for the Raiders who have plenty of young talent that can score.
Toby Nwokolo Toby Nwokolo 6'6" | PF Reynoldsburg | 2025 State OH (2025) Reynoldsburg
Nwokolo was a prospect I saw briefly at the All Ohio Super 16, but an injury knocked him out early. Friday proved to be a better viewing for the sophomore as he really set himself up as a key contributor. Possesses great size at 6-foot-4 on the wing. While he is slightly slower than other guards I saw today, Nwokolo still showed he could defend his position and could even move into being a good wing defender too. Nwokolo has a flatter jump shot, but it goes in as he knocked down 4 3’s in the Raiders win over Lebanon.
Sam Stoller (2024) Lebanon
Stoller was a new name for me Friday and he got one heck of a challenge in Reynoldsburg. The junior guard impressed me with his consistency getting to the rack and creating solid shot opportunities at the rim. Not the most physically imposing player, Stoller utilizes a longer body and scrappy play to get close range shot chances. Stoller even showed a willingness to make perimeter shots. Lebanon has some promising freshmen coming in this Winter which will make it interesting to see how Stoller fits in with the Warriors offense.
Theo Falkenhain (2025) Columbus Academy
Theo Falkenhain allowed the game to be controlled at his pace for CA as they rolled over Wellington School. Falkenhain was getting whatever looks he wanted at the rim with an explosive first few steps and quick acceleration downhill. Really made plays with the slashing on the perimeter and created transition opportunities on steals in the half court. What makes this feat even more impressive is Falkenhain is only 5-foot-9 and was scoring over bigger Wellington defenders. The slashing and transition buckets meant I didn’t get to see how he shot the ball outside the paint, but Falkenhain has shown me he has a high ceiling as he continues to grow.
