BCAT Stockrisers
In this article:
Saturday, June 25th, BCAT 100 splashed into the Lebanon High School gym. The following players improved their stock during the day.
Tylon Chatman Tylon Chatman 6'0" | PG Haywood | 2023 State TN picked up interest from Western Kentucky almost immediately after his BCAT showing. Great creator with the ball in his hands. His ranking was high was us, but he needs to be seen more and respected more by college coaches considering his talent. That seems to be occurring now. Chattanooga, WKU, and some D2’s all reached out to his AAU coach within hours of his showing.
Jack Carter Jack Carter 6'6" | SG Goodpasture | 2023 State TN continues to evolve as a wing scorer. He and Michael Pepper Michael Pepper 6'3" | SG Christian Brothers | 2023 State TN obliterated teams with their unselfish and active play. Pepper’s quick feet and Carter’s quick mind rattled the opposing players’ cages. Carter will hit his three-pointer, but needs to have his feet set. He is not walking into anything from deep and he maintains that proven post work that made him so dominant the last two years as Goodpasture’s center. Anything within 8’ Carter hits the defense with a pump fake, a head fake, something, reclaims his feet with an evasive dribble and then rises off two to dunk easily. Nobody understands spacing down low better, but Jack clearly wanted to and does play as a prospective college wing. He will climb about 20 spots from lower 60’s to lower 40’s in the forthcoming 2023 Player Rankings.
Brock Vice Brock Vice 6'10" | C Houston | 2023 State TN will ascend into the Top 20, for sure. Absurdly powerful. Wonderful hands. Purposeful feet. No frills in the paint. Catches, quick move. Scores.
Nicholas Long (East Hamilton) sprinkled some spice into the stew. he smashed it in traffic, hit the jumper, ran the floor. He is a wonderful combo forward physical gifts and nice size.
Brett Wright Brett Wright 6'7" | SG Silverdale Baptist | 2024 State TN (Silverdale Baptist Academy) stunned with agility and handle to spare. We listed him as a power forward for the last six months. That was way off. Wright is a future 2/3, and he can do anything you want offensively. Expect a jump from #46 to Top 35.
Kylan Neville (Bartlett) played very solid, steady. The Class of 2025 hooper injected a surprising basketball maturity. Capable of creating his own. Moves well away from the basketball. Hits mid-range with consistency. Neville’s team had just seven players, so there was plenty of floor time. He capitalized.
