Jayron Merrill 6’2 SG/PG 2023 Jackson
Merrill is a solid guard who can contribute in a multitude of ways. Though he won’t dominate as a scorer, he can use his overall skill set to affect the game. He shows solid instinct and vision as a passer and is a willing playmaker that can initiate the offense. He can also rebound well for his size and gain more possessions for his team. In addition to his contribution as a scorer, this makes him a solid player who can fit on any roster as a valuable glue guy who elevates teams and makes winning plays.
John Broom John Broom 6'5" | SG Jacksonville | 2023 State AL 6’6 PG/SG 2023 Jacksonville
Broom is a top-tier guard who can play both the point guard and shooting guard positions at an extremely high level. With elite size and skill, Broom is one of the best scorers in the state. The smooth lefty is fully equipped to break down defenders with hesitations, counter moves, and step-backs. He shows nice touch from both the mid-range and 3-point area while also possessing top-tier finishing ability. His athleticism allows him to play above the rim, through contact, and navigate crowded paint areas. As a shooter, he’s totally comfortable getting off-ball and using movement to create opportunities for himself. With a solid shot off the catch and a dynamic handle, Broom is one of the more well-rounded scorers the state has to offer.

Johntarius Green Johntarius Green 6'0" | PG Montgomery Catholic | 2023 AL 6’0 PG 2023 Montgomery Catholic
Green is a playmaking guard who excels in getting others involved and finishing at the basket. His elite creativity and skill when getting teammates involved enables him to drop dimes in the half-court and transition. This ability to get teammates easy shots encourages his team to get out in transition and cut with intent- leading to great looks consistently. As a scorer, he is crafty with his handles and finishes, making him tough to stay in front of and defend at the rim. He also shows nuance in pick&rolls as a ball-handler who always seems to get good shots.

Jonah Williams (2023)–Plainview
Williams is a pure marksman who can truly shoot teams out of the gym single-handedly. As an off guard, he shows deadly accuracy from the deep corner, which fully stretches the defense in the half-court. With a rapid-fire release and an ability to get into his shooting motion quickly make him a premier threat from the perimeter. In addition to his mechanics, William’s streakiness is a significant plus to his game. If he sees one go in, he’s liable to string back-to-back trey balls and quickly get into the zone.
