So, here is the first installment of the top 100 countdown- A daily series to keep you abreast of the upcoming hoopers that are making an impact!

LJ Holifield 5’11 PG 2023 Faith Academy
Holifield is a deep-range sniper. He shows extreme comfort when hitting shots beyond the three-point line with a rapid-fire release and textbook mechanics on his jumper. Holifield is dynamic due to his comfort and effectiveness when shooting both off the dribble or on the catch- making him playable in any lineup as a key offensive contributor.

Luke Smith Luke Smith 6'5" | SF Plainview | 2023 State AL 6’6 SF/SG 2023 Plainview
Smith is an athletic wing that can score efficiently. With his frame and skill, he creates many problems for opposing defenses. Smith’s all-around game includes him being a proficient shooter from deep, a solid ball-handler who can counter pressure/ closeouts, and an athletic finisher that can play above the rim. Though he’s primarily a score-first wing, Smith has a natural feel for the game that enables him to play make at a high level. Displays a willingness to get others involved when breaking down defenses and finding cutters to the basket.
Matthew Heiberger Matthew Heiberger 6'4" | SF Oak Mountain | 2023 State AL (2023)–Oak Mountain
Heiberger is a highly athletic wing that can make plays on both ends that impact the game. Offensively, Heiberger is an aggressive slasher that can play above the rim and put someone on a poster if they’re slipping. He also shows flashes of being a potential shooter with solid form on his jumper off the catch. Defensively this vertical explosion is used to challenge shots at the rim and help out his team’s rebounding efforts.
Parker Bell (2023)–Scottsboro
Bell is a certified shooter who is a threat a premier threat on the perimeter. Bell is a highly efficient shooter on volume and always seems to make crucial buckets in timely situations. Besides the obvious floor spacing, Bell’s shooting instills confidence in his teammates and the home crowd. Whenever he launches one, his teammates believe it’s in. Though he’s dangerous in the halfcourt as a shooter, he shows an ability to put it on the floor and finish at the basket. He also does a great job of knocking down shots in transition when the defense opts to defend the paint on the fast break.
Patrick Screws Patrick Screws 6'6" | PF Eufaula | 2023 AL (2023)–Eufaula
Screws is a big man with uncanny agility, nimble feet, and balance. Though many would judge the book by its cover, Screws is capable of staying in front of guards on switches, closing out on shooters, and running the floor on the fast break. Offensively Screw is a traditional big who will win with power and size. He shows a nice set of hands and touch when operating in the post for points and rebounds.
