Tanner Braketa Tanner Braketa 6'1" | PG Ralston Valley | 2025 State #285 Nation CO – Ralston Valley
If someone were to say Tanner Braketa Tanner Braketa 6'1" | PG Ralston Valley | 2025 State #285 Nation CO is the best shooter in the state I would not argue with them. While Tanner is a really good shooter without his unique ability to get open he would not be able to score so many points. Off of the ball, he works super hard using jukes and coming tightly off of ball screens to shake off defenders who have to guard him tightly due to his knockdown shooting ability. Off of the catch, Tanner is very good at attacking close-outs and can score effectively in the mid-range and close to the basket with floaters. Most importantly Tanner is a player who makes winning plays, he is someone who will do whatever it takes to help his team get the dub.
Garrett Barger Garrett Barger 6'9" | PF Eaglecrest | 2025 State #364 Nation CO – Eaglecrest
Garrett Barger Garrett Barger 6'9" | PF Eaglecrest | 2025 State #364 Nation CO has the highest upside of any player in this class due to his hard work ethic, long frame, and great athleticism. He has great switchability as he can play the traditional big man role guarding down low having good instincts on help-side defense and on the perimeter he uses good footspeed and his long wingspan to lockdown guards. What really stands out about Garrett is the energy he plays with, he is a player who makes hustle plays and also makes plays that get the gym on their feet with big throw-downs at the rim.
LaDavian King LaDavian King 6'1" | CG Eaglecrest | 2025 State CO – Eaglecrest
LaDavian King LaDavian King 6'1" | CG Eaglecrest | 2025 State CO is a kid who just has that it factor on the court. LaDavian has one of the deepest bags of tricks in the state, he is a true three-level who makes defenders play at his pace. At the rim, he has shown the ability to finish through contact and is an effective finisher with both hands. Off of the triple threat, he is good at creating space with simple jabs that he can use to shoot threes or drive to the basket. LaDavian has shown the ability to score in big situations, as a freshman last season for Eaglecrest during their playoff run he put the team on his back going on big scoring runs, hitting multiple tough shots.
Cole Scherer Cole Scherer 6'2" | PG Valor Christian | 2025 State CO – Valor Christian
Cole Scherer Cole Scherer 6'2" | PG Valor Christian | 2025 State CO is a point guard who plays like a player much older than he is due to his composure and IQ on the hardwood. He already has a very good size for a guard standing at 6’1 and a good frame which he uses to protect the ball. Cole is a good passer who has a knack for setting up teammates, especially on the fastbreak he has great vision and knows how to mislead defenders. Cole is a player who has good shot selection, he does not force hard shots but will make you pay if you leave him open.
Dominic Rhoades-Martinez Dominic Rhoades-Martinez 6'0" | PG Denver South | 2025 State #369 Nation CO – Denver South
Dominic Rhoades-Martinez Dominic Rhoades-Martinez 6'0" | PG Denver South | 2025 State #369 Nation CO is another point guard who plays older then his grade level. I heard from another scout they went a whole game last year assuming Dominic was a junior or senior by his mature playing style and was shocked to hear he was a freshman. Dominic is a physical guard who does a great job of creating contact when attacking the rim and sometimes Steve Nash-style circles underneath the rim to try and score or set up a cutting teammate. Dominic dominated last year at Denver South filling up the stat sheet doing a bit of everything and that is expected to continue throughout his high school career.
