Junius Burrell Junius Burrell 5'8" | PG Great Crossing | 2025 State KY , 5’7 PG Great Crossing (KY) 2025: Burrell made key shots all weekend and didn’t let his size stop him from playing tight on-ball defense and getting into the lane off the bounce. Burrell is one of three talented 2025 prospects that make this Great Crossing team not only tough to beat now, but a squad that will be a force for years to come in Kentucky.
Lual Ayiei, 6’11 C Danville Christian Academy (KY) 2025: Ayiei was the most intriguing prospect I covered all weekend because of the mystery that he is right now. Ayiei was a force in the game I watched, blocking almost 10 shots and almost ending with a triple double if I had to guess. Ayiei is incredibly long and has solid instincts defensively. Ayiei is very skinny and needs major work on his body by adding muscle and mass. Ayiei made a couple turnaround jumpers but that part of his game is also a work in progress. This is a prospect who isn’t close to reaching his full potential but certainly a guy to keep tabs on in the future.
Jayden Johnson Jayden Johnson 6'5" | SG Trinity | 2026 State KY , 6’5 SF Louisville Trinity (KY) 2026: Johnson is only going to be a freshman this season but he’s already a polished enough prospect to make a huge impact for the 64 team bracket champions. Johnson makes open shots and has a great feel for the game for a prospect so young. Johnson typically made the right pass and also had some defensive flashes guarding opposing scorers. Johnson is a great prospect who not only is productive now but also has a ton of upside for the future.
Kameron Sanders Kameron Sanders 6'3" | PG Fairfield | 2025 State OH , 6’0 PG Fairfield (OH) 2025: Sanders gets to play off ball next to Deshawne Crim Deshawne Crim 6'2" | PG Fairfield | 2023 State OH and this is going to help his transition to becoming a varsity starter next season for the Indians. Sanders is a reliable catch and shoot prospect who makes simple moves to get to the basket. Sanders plays off two feet in the lane and has a great frame that will allow him to add muscle and explosiveness. Sanders will be one of a group of 2025 guards in the GMC that fans will enjoy watching the next three years.
Gabe Clemmons Gabe Clemmons 6'10" | C Fairfield | 2025 State OH , 6’8 C Fairfield (OH) 2025: Clemmons has made some strides as a prospect and is starting to shoot the ball with some confidence from the outside. I liked seeing Clemmons move his feet defensively and communicate when defending against pick and rolls. Clemmons is far from a finished product, but he’s further along than I expected after last watching him in April. Clemmons will be a prospect to watch in southwest Ohio, as there’s a few 2025 bigs from that part of the state that I’m intrigued by.
