Julian Mitchell Julian Mitchell 6'5" | SF Lakota East | 2023 State OH , 6’5 SF Lakota East 2023: Mitchell is a major riser this summer and has started to play his way into scholarship opportunities this spring on the Prep Hoops Circuit and with Lakota East in June. Mitchell is a smooth shooter and moves well at 6’5. Mitchell has greatly improved his production for the Thunderhawks and is a must watch for regional D2 and NAIA programs. Currently, Mitchell is a priority Division III recruit and highly sought after. Mitchell is also due for a rankings increase during our next update in August.
Kayden Meadows Kayden Meadows 6'6" | PF Lakota East | 2023 State OH , 6’3 PF Lakota East 2023: Meadows looks like a football player with his massive legs and strong upper body, but I like a lot what Meadows brings to the basketball floor. Meadows is a bully ball style forward who looks to work with his back to the basket. Meadows also physically affects the game with his rebounding and physicality on the interior. Meadows is a guy who helps you win high school basketball games and was a crucial piece to Lakota East’s final four run.
Michael Greenlee Michael Greenlee 5'10" | PG Toledo Central Catholic | 2023 State OH , 5’10 PG Toledo Central Catholic 2023: Greenlee is the leader for Toledo Central Catholic after star Chico Johnson Chico Johnson 6'2" | SG Toledo Central Catholic | 2023 State OH tore his ACL. Greenlee is a steady presence at the point guard position and makes shots from the outside. Greenlee takes care of the basketball and scores off two feet in the lane.
Jake Davis Jake Davis 6'6" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN , 6’5 PF Indy Cathedral (IN) 2023: Davis is a prospect who I really like because of his simple projection to the next level and how he impacts the game outside of scoring the basketball. Davis has a solid frame and is a plus rebounder for his height. Davis is also one of the best spot-up shooters at 6’5+ that I’ve watched in the Midwest, almost never missing an open 3-pointer. Davis also draws charges and is good at moving his feet defensively. Right now Davis only has Division II and NAIA offers and would be a potential all conference player at that level.
Joey Hart Joey Hart 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State #214 Nation IN , 6’5 SF Linton-Stockton (IN) 2023: Hart got the gym jumping with a lefty dunk off his right foot, showing some impressive explosiveness and coordination. Hart is a big time scorer who is required to create for himself a lot on his high school team. Hart gets to his spots well and can really score it from the mid-range area. Hart right now is a priority at the mid-major level with double-digit Division I offers.
Crew Gibson Crew Gibson 6'8" | PF DeSales | 2023 State KY , 6’7 PF Louisville DeSales (KY) 2023: Gibson is a skilled post prospect who showed off some athleticism with a put-back dunk that raised my eyebrows. Gibson is tough to stop with his back to the basket and plays with a high motor on offense. I liked seeing Gibson create for himself inside the paint and he also showed some impressive vision when teams would help to try and stop him.
Grant Whitaker Grant Whitaker 6'3" | PG Murray | 2023 State KY , 6’1 PG Murray (KY) 2023: Whitaker is a tough shot maker who was cooking in isolation settings for Murray. Whitaker makes shots from well beyond the 3-point line and made the right read from the point guard position. Whitaker is a guy who if you aren’t careful, could drop a quick 30 piece on your team with his microwave ability from downtown.
John Mccrear John Mccrear 6'8" | PF Woodfard | 2023 State #219 Nation KY , 6’8 PF Woodford County (KY) 2023: McCrear is an impressive athlete who threw down some powerful dunks and made some forceful moves around the basket. McCrear is a key piece for a Woodford County squad that is filled with guard talent. McCrear also spaced the floor as he made some jumpers which brought out his defender to guard him at the 3-point line.
