Marcus Eaves Marcus Eaves 6'4" | SF North Hopkins | 2023 State KY , Madisonville (37–>15) – Eaves earned an offer from Georgetown College this spring and was one of the best 2023s on the Junior All Star team that played the Seniors and the Indiana Juniors. Marcus is a versatile weapon as a big guard who can really go and get a bucket when needed and has the physical tools to guard multiple positions. Rankings him 15th may still be too low.
Gerard Thomas Gerard Thomas 6'2" | PG Henderson County | 2023 State KY , Henderson County (40–>18) – Thomas had a huge spring of AAU and was impressive last weekend during the scholastic live period at Collins and made a pair of game winners for a Henderson team that went 4-1 on the weekend. Gerard was described to me by a D1 coach as a “mid major D1 point guard right now”. If that’s the case, he should see offers coming his way frequently next month.
Kai Simpson Kai Simpson 6'3" | PG Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY , Frederick Douglass, (51–>27) – Simpson appears to be ready for the spotlight at Douglass this season. Moving from off the ball to more of a point guard in the summer will only help his stock but Kai has shown he is a top notch shooter over the last few months. Look for the big guard to turn some heads in the AAU live period in a couple of weeks.
Jeremiah Israel Jeremiah Israel 6'3" | SG Lloyd Memorial | 2023 State KY , Lloyd Memorial, (60–>34) – Israel is one of the best athletes in northern Kentucky and earned offers from Midway and Kentucky State last weekend with his play at Collins. If Jeremiah can become a more consistent knock down shooter, his stock will only continue to go up in the coming months.
