Juan Cranford Jr, 6’3 SG Huber Heights Wayne 2024: Cranford had a solid season for Huber Heights Wayne, becoming the sidekick to Lawrent Rice Lawrent Rice 6'4" | PG Huber Heights Wayne | 2023 State #184 Nation OH by the end of the season. Cranford is a bigger bodied wing who is an elite shooter from the outside. Where Cranford really took off was this spring for Midwest Basketball Club Gold 16 U. Cranford has drawn rave reviews from many based on his play this spring and I’m excited to see him this June for Wayne during the live period.
Landon Brewer Landon Brewer 6'5" | SG Antwerp | 2024 State OH , 6’3 SG Antwerp 2024: Brewer first got on my radar at the Prep Hoops 250 Expo where he was impressive with his passing and IQ for his age. Brewer then followed that up with a solid high school season, being a strong option next to Jagger Landers Jagger Landers 6'7" | PF Antwerp | 2022 State OH for a tough Antwerp squad that made the final four. Brewer is a confident wing who was able to attack closeouts and given the green light to try and score. This allowed Brewer to have some big games when the lights shined brightest and he carried this momentum over to the spring where he shined for NW Ohio 16 U. Brewer has big shoes to fill with many seniors graduating from the Archers regional championship squad, but I think he has upside as a potential scholarship prospect down the line.
Braylen Nash Braylen Nash 6'3" | SG New Albany | 2024 State OH , 6’3 SG New Albany 2024: Nash is another shooting specialist who like Cranford, has gotten a lot of publicity for his play with Nova-Martin this spring. Nash’s ability to move without the basketball and spot-up from behind the 3-point line gives him a lot of value from the wing position. With Justin Perry Justin Perry 6'7" | PF New Albany | 2022 State OH , Joshua Evans Joshua Evans 6'4" | SF New Albany | 2022 State OH and Blake Pistro Blake Pistro 6'5" | PF New Albany | 2022 State OH all graduating, Nash is the most experienced player returning for New Albany next season and could make a big leap as a Junior.
Casey Lantz Casey Lantz 6'5" | SF Shelby | 2024 State OH , 6’5 SF Shelby 2024: Lantz stood out for an Ohio Buckets-McWhinnie squad that really shares the basketball and gets production from all players on the roster. Lantz is an impressive athlete, with maybe some more burst and vertical pop than his older brother Cody had at the same age. Lantz is a part of Shelby’s talented 2024 core, headlined by Alex Bruskotter Alex Bruskotter 6'7" | PF Shelby | 2024 State #316 Nation OH , as they should continue to compete for conference titles in the coming seasons.
