Jacob Wassler Jacob Wassler 6'10" | C St Xavier | 2025 State OH , 6’8 C St Xavier 2025 Shining Star Price 15 U: Wassler is a bit of a mystery, not seeing the court at the varsity level as a freshman, but really proved his potential this weekend. Wassler has a wider frame, his older brother is a football stud for the Bombers, with good strength for his class. Wassler hit a couple post moves with his back to the basket, showing his touch and skill in the paint. I only caught one game, but it wouldn’t stun me if Wassler ended up as a Division I prospect when it’s all said and done.
Cam Williams Cam Williams 6'2" | CG Elder | 2025 State OH , 6’3 SF Elder 2025 Shining Star Price 15 U: Williams is a grassroots teammate of Wassler, but a GCL-South rival during the winter. Williams had a big scoring game when I watched his team, mostly scoring around the basket. I liked Williams ability to play off of two feet in the paint, as he seemed control when driving to the basket. I’d like to see Williams shoot more from the outside because I couldn’t really tell how well he shot the ball from the outside based off this weekend alone.
Mitch Finefrock Mitch Finefrock 6'1" | SG Massillon Jackson | 2025 State OH , 6’0 SG Massillon Jackson 2025 Gurus Of Go 15 U: Finefrock is an elite shooter with in the gym range. On a Gurus Of Go squad that made it all the way to the Gold bracket championship game against All Ohio Red, where they fell by one point. Finefrock provides good floor spacing for his team, always being shot ready off the ball. Finefrock has an elite skill which will help him get on the varsity floor and contribute. He’s very similar to Jeb Bischoff Jeb Bischoff 6'0" | SG Hilliard Bradley | 2024 State OH , another prospect who plays for a great grassroots team that’s had a lot of success.
Kyle Monterrubio Kyle Monterrubio 6'3" | SF Massillon Jackson | 2025 State OH , 6’3 SF Massillon Jackson 2025 Gurus Of Go 15 U: The second Jackson Polar Bear featured on this Gurus Of Go squad, Monterrubio stood out for his slashing ability, taking it strong to the basket with both hands. Monterrubio was also tasked with defending some of the taller players on the opposing team due to the lack of size on his team. I’ll be interested to see Monterrubio during the winter as Jackson graduated a core group of seniors and will have a new look squad in 2022-23.
