BEST PLAYER: Milan Momcilovic Milan Momcilovic 6'8" | SF Pewaukee | 2023 State #44 Nation WI
Momcilovic has not only had one of the best AAU seasons among Wisconsin prospects, but nationally as well. UCLA, Virginia, Miami (FL), Marquette, Iowa State, Xavier, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Creighton, Northwestern, and others are all fighting for the skilled, versatile 6-foot-8 forward. Momcilovic is a deadly scorer in the high post and from 3-point range. A lot of what he does simply can just not be defended.
BIGGEST STOCK BOOSTER: Antwan Burns-Jones Antwan Burns-Jones 6'2" | SG Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI
Expect Burns-Jones to have maybe the biggest jump in the rankings after this spring. The Catholic Memorial product was sensational at the Spiece Run N’ Slam and is playing his best ball this spring. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has break-you-down ability, an excellent feel when he gets into the paint, and advanced vision/passing ability in traffic.

BIGGEST SURPRISE: AJ Uttech AJ Uttech 6'2" | PG Columbus | 2023 State WI
You never know how fall league and even the high school season is going to translate to the AAU circuit. Hasn’t been an issue for Uttech, who’s moved to the forefront for his Wisconsin Academy team. A strong, skilled guard that can put the ball on the deck and beat defenders with power or finesse, Uttech has turned a lot of heads this spring.
MOST WELL-ROUNDED: Gavyn Hurley Gavyn Hurley 6'4" | CG Middleton | 2023 State WI
One of the biggest stock risers last year, Hurley still hasn’t peaked. Minnesota-Duluth and Winona State have both recently offered the talented floor general. A point guard with excellent positional size, Hurley can pack a stat sheet, capable of leading his team in scoring, assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks on any given day.
BEST DEFENDER: Prentice Young Prentice Young 6'4" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State #273 Nation WI
They call him “Two-Way P.J.” for a reason. Young’s impact on the defensive end often outweighs what he does offensively. The 6-foot-4 guard/wing has a knack for getting his hands in and creating turnovers. Young’s not a guy that takes a lot of chances or commits fouls either. He’s very calculated, smart, and knows when to seize an opportunity.
BEST SHOOTER: John Kinziger John Kinziger 6'0" | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI
If you factor in the entire body of work — on the ball, off the ball, 3-point range, mid-range, etc., think Kinziger takes the top spot. Defenders have to pick Kinziger up when he crosses halfcourt and try and take him out of a rhythm. What really makes Kinziger special as a shooter — he has no off switch when playing off the ball. The 5-foot-11 sniper will run through countless screens to lose his man if he has to.
BEST PASSER: Braden Mcglothlin Braden Mcglothlin 6'0" | PG Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI

McGlothlin is very connected with his teammates. The Catholic Memorial standout plays mostly mistake-free basketball. Good mix of fundamentally sound play and his own added flash. McGlothlin can score and take over games when he has to, but he takes more pride in seeing his teammates thrive.
MOST VERSATILE: Bennett Fried Bennett Fried 6'6" | SF La Crosse Central | 2023 State WI
Fried can play four positions. He’s a point wing, slasher, outside shooter, and a post-up threat. The lanky 6-foot-6 junior is still a raw prospect with a ton of upside. He’s still finding himself on the basketball court and the type of player Fried becomes is still TBD.
BIGGEST UPSIDE: Jeremy Lorenz Jeremy Lorenz 6'8" | PF Brillion | 2023 State WI
Think you could go a couple different ways here, but I’m giving the nod to Lorenz as I think he’s made the best jump of all the high ceiling prospects in this class. The 6-foot-9 forward will likely be a project at the next level, but there’s some serious mismatch nightmare potential here. Lorenz can handle the ball on the perimeter and in the open floor, shoot it from deep, and size guys up and to work in the halfcourt.
TOP SLEEPER: Caleb Glaser Caleb Glaser 6'6" | SF Appleton East | 2023 State WI
Think Glaser is still flying way under the radar. The 6-foot-6 forward has a really deep package as a post prospect and is getting better in a hurry. Glaser has some of the best post footwork in the state, can score with either hand, and has a budding perimeter skillset. Glaser is also an excellent shot blocker on the interior that makes opponents play from the outisde.
BEST ATHLETE: Mac Wrecke Mac Wrecke 6'5" | SG Arrowhead | 2023 State #272 Nation WI
Wrecke has an effortless leaping ability The Arrowhead standout has a good blend of strength and athleticism and uses those traits defensively as well to block/alter shots and play the passing lanes. The 6-foot-3 wing can also stop and start on a dime, able to shake defenders in the halfcourt to set up his mid-range/pull-up game.
