KJ Anderson. 6”5. 2024. Ward Melville
Showing leadership qualities during a spring league game is impressive. Can knock down the three ball. Really good skill set. Shoots it well off the kick out or off the catch. Handles the ball well enough to get to the rim with his size. A player to watch should climb into our rankings when we update.
Nick Kozlowski 6”5 2023 Sachem East
Outstanding shooter off the catch. Displayed the ability to put it on the deck and get to the rim. A player who is more athletic then he looks. Impressive player to watch this summer and next season.
Thomas Matonti Thomas Matonti 6'0" | PG Kings Park | 2024 State NY 5”10 2024 King Park
Was the first guard off the bench last season for the “A” champions. So the spring league is a good test of what Thomas will do in a more expanded roll. He showed us alot on this day. Moves well without the ball. Quick and close shoulder to shoulder cuts . Knocked down threes from beyond the arc. Good decisions in the open floor. Also displayed quick hands. Has a quick deceptive first step. Possibly could make up one of the better backcourts on Long Island next season.
Joseph Romano Joseph Romano 6'2" | CG Kings Park | 2024 State NY 6”0 2024 Kings Park
Joseph also got his varsity feet wet this past season. So spring league for him is a chance to show he is ready for the bigger stage. At this event he showed he is ready. A lefty with an excellent handle. Protects the ball well with his body. He showed excelllent court vision. Was able to not only hound opposing guard but also had active hands leading to steals or defections.
Justin Govan 5”10 2026 John Glen
Coach feels this eight grade class is very promising. So we were anxious to see Justin play. There is tremendous potential and a high ceiling. He showed the ability and understanding how to get into the lane. A slasher type player. Plays the game at the right speed. Never seemed to be out of control getting to the rim. Which for a young player is a plus. Showed active hands defensively. Was able to score on putbacks while initiating contact.
Paul Febbraro Paul Febbraro 6'0" | CG John Glen | 2024 State NY . 6”0 2024. John Glen
Was able to knock down threes. Smooth stroke with good rotation on the ball coming out of his hand. Showed a nice head and ball fake to get him into a pull up jumper. Has a great understanding of the game.
Joey Mammolito Joey Mammolito 6'1" | PG Elwood John Glenn | 2025 State NY . 5”8. 2025. John Glen
Outstanding court vision. Terrific passer of the ball. Surveys the court and then quickly and decisively makes the right play. Really good point guard understanding and skill set for such a young player. Very quick getting into the lane. But also showed some swag drilling a pull up jumper with a bigger player in his face.
