The Hoop Group Southern Jamfest features some of the top shoe company and independent teams in the country, and is loaded with talent throughout the field.
Here’s a look at part one of some of the standouts in the 15U division.
Jaquan Womack | 6’7” PF | Team Takeover 2025
Womack is considered by many as one of the top 2025 prospects in the NOVA area after having a good freshman year with Paul VI, and the 6’7” forward showed his immense potential in leading Takeover to the 15U championship. He’s a strong forward with a good frame already, but it’s his versatility that makes him so productive and makes him a matchup nightmare as well. He can play in the paint with his strength and size, he can step out where he can put it on the deck and get to the rim or get to spots in the midrange to make tough shots and he can drill it from deep when he’s left open too.
Austin Williford Austin Williford 6'4" | CG Saint Anne’s Belfield | 2025 State #137 Nation VA | 6’5” WF | Team Takeover 2025
Williford was a starter for a good STAB team as a freshman and he shows tremendous potential moving forward with his mix of size, athleticism and skillset to go along with his good motor on both ends of the floor. He is long and a good athlete who can rebound and play at the rim now, he can sit down and defend on the ball and is a good help side defender as well and offensively he has a good base skillset as he can put it on the deck and get to the rim and he can knock it down off the catch. He continues to get more and more confident and aggressive and he’s going to be one to watch moving forward.
Jordan Smith Jr. | 6’0” CG | Team Takeover 2026
Smith isn’t even in high school yet but he’s already being touted as next up in the DMV, and it’s easy to see as he has an advanced skillset and also brings good toughness to his team as well. At 6’0” he isn’t the biggest guy but is likely still growing, he is a good athlete with a good first step and he can score the ball in different ways already. He’s going to be an immediate impact in the high school ranks from day one and has al to of potential ahead of him already.
Cam Ward | 6’5” F | Team Durant 2025
Ward has been on a tear all spring long and he has solidified himself as one of the top prospects in the DMV throughout that span. The 6’5” forward is a strong and versatile player who can guard and play multiple positions, he can get to the rim and finish through traffic with his size and he produces across the board on both ends of the floor. He can score it efficiently and is a good rebounder and defender as well, and he plays with a good motor and is very hard to matchup with.
Ikee Alozie | 6’0” WG | NJ Scholars 2026
Alozie is one of the best young players in the NJ area, and he’ll be a welcome addition at Camden which already has one of the most talented rosters in high school. The 6’0” guard is an exceptional athlete who gets downhill and can play above the rim and finish through contact, he is shifty off the bounce and he can stick it from deep when he’s left open. He played with great energy and intensity and competed on both ends of the floor.
