Despite taking a midday break to watch the Indianapolis 500 I was still able to get eyes on a lot of great prospects during games in the morning and evening. Here are six prospects that stood out from the action that I saw on Sunday.
Markus Burton Markus Burton 5'11" | PG Penn | 2023 State #190 Nation IN (Penn H.S. 2023/Mac Irvin Fire 2023 EYBL): Mac Irvin Fire went 0-2 on the day, but Burton was his typical self in the backcourt making plays all over the place. The electric 5’11″ guard went for 15 points and 6 assists in the morning and followed it up with 11 points and 10 assists in their evening game. Any low/mid-major program that wants a pure scorer at point guard should be recruiting Burton.
Camden Craig Camden Craig 6'4" | SF Switzerland County | 2025 State IN (Switzerland County H.S. 2025/Indiana Elite Defenders 2025): Sunday afternoon was my first live look of the spring at the Indiana Elite Defenders. Craig stood out as a highly skilled 6’4″ forward. He is at his best when operating around the basket and in the mid-range, but has a smooth shooting stroke and is an excellent passer. High upside prospect.
Kaleb Glenn Kaleb Glenn 6'7" | SF La Lumiere | 2023 #64 Nation IN (La Lumiere 2023/Indy Heat 2023 EYBL): Glenn was awesome in Indy Heat’s hard fought 72-70 win over Drive Nation. The Louisville commit hit the game-winner in the paint with about two seconds remaining to secure the victory. He led the team with 22 points on impressive 9-11 shooting.
Rasheed Jones Rasheed Jones 6'6" | SF Arsenal Tech | 2022 State IN (Arsenal Tech H.S. 2022/Mac Irvin Fire 2023 EYBL): Jones’ shooting ability was on full display in Mac Irvin Fire’s two games on Sunday. In their morning game the 6’6″ wing went 2-3 from beyond the arc with 14 points and 8 rebounds. I’ve always liked the way he rebounds the basketball. In their nightcap he added a 3-5 shooting performance from deep. One of the best available shooters that you will find.
Chase Konieczny Chase Konieczny 6'4" | SG South Bend Saint Joseph | 2025 State #277 Nation IN (South Bend St. Joesph H.S. 2025/Indy Heat 2025 EYBL): This skilled 6’3″ wing is as smooth and consistent as they come as a scorer. Konieczny scored a team-high 16 points against a super athletic NH Lightening team in the morning and then was high-scorer once again with 13 points in an evening win over Team Final. He’s really, really skilled.
David Meriwether David Meriwether 6'10" | C Lawrence North | 2023 UT (Indianapolis Metropolitan 2023/George Hill All Indy 2023): A lot of attention goes to George Hill All Indy prospects like Xavier Booker Xavier Booker 6'11" | PF Cathedral | 2023 State #4 Nation IN and Garwey Dual Garwey Dual 6'5" | PG Carmel | 2023 #113 Nation CA-S , and understandably so, but the 6’10″ Meriwether is having an equally strong spring. He has earned an offer from IUPUI based on his development and just keeps getting better. Getting more mobile, finishes consistently around the basket, and becoming a great rebounder. I’m officially onboard the Meriwether hype train.
