Troy | 2023

(Mo Thunder 2023): The 6’0″ point guard from Troy had a tremendous all-around performance in his team’s victory over the Illinois Wolves. He scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win. That’s 11 rebounds from your point guard. That’s very impressive. He’s a tough kid who handles the offense well, hits big shots and competes at both ends of the floor. He’s a good 3-point shooter with the strength to attack in the lane to score and also drop dimes to open teammates.

Webster Groves | 2023
State
MO
(Gateway-Knights 2023): The 6’0″ point guard from Webster Groves was instrumental in his team’s perfect 4-0 record over the weekend with his terrific all-around floor game. He is a game-changer on the defensive end with his ball pressure and anticipation in the passing lanes. He is a propeller in the half court offense as he keeps the ball moving and the offense flowing. When he needs to score he has a reliable runner in the lane and he can get downhill for the layup. His basketball IQ is very high.
Matt Haefner Matt Haefner 6'7" | SF Lafayette | 2023 State MO (Hardwood Elite 2023): The 6’7″ forward continued his excellent play during the spring as he displayed his all-around versatility and skill set. He can shoot the ball well from long distance, but he can also create off the dribble with a variety of escape moves. His mid-range game was butter. His used his athleticism to crash the boards at both ends and also block shots at the rim. He has all the tools and I expect to see his recruitment pick up during the summer.
Johnny Wiggins (Team EVOL): This thick-bodied 5’10″ 2024 shooting guard from Chicago reminded me a little of former Detroit Pistons star Vinny “The Microwave” Johnson with how he could create buckets at virtually anytime. He could shoot the rock from 3-point range and he was confident in his ability to hit contested shots under defensive pressure. He also had the physicality to get into the lane and play through contact.
Ethan Kissel (St Louis Tigers): The 6’2″ 2023 guard from Duchesne was as good as anybody that I watched all weekend when it came to moving without the basketball. He was a picture of constant motion, which led to many buckets. He was coming off screens and making backdoor cuts to get himself open. He could also set screens to free himself up for offensive opportunities. He also attacks the basket with his high motor.

Jackson | 2023
State
MO
(Gateway-Knights 2023): A 6’8″ 2023 forward from Jackson who had a solid weekend around the basket as he helped his team to a 4-0 record during the weekend. He posted up strong inside and used his big body to his advantage to score. If he happened to miss the first shot, he had defenders sealed enough to get his own rebound and score on the second effort.
