Brandenn Robinson (Big Time 17U)
Robinson made quite a statement with his play over the weekend. The Springfield power forward broke out with his strength and athleticism up front. He knew how to utilize it on both ends. One of the best rebounders at the event as he snatched them with force in traffic over and over again. Rim runner, dive threat, and furious dunker on the offensive end that played with a high-motor!
Sathvik Thatikonda (Illinois Basketball Club 17U)
Champaign Centennial small forward put up consistent numbers in both games we saw him play. Inside and outside threat that was extremely efficient every single time he touched the rock. Excellent getting up and down the floor for scores in transition. Got a lot of his points in that fashion as well as catching passes on the move in the half court. Soft touch around the hoop and competed on the glass despite being a bit undersized.
Kyle Olabegi (Illinois T-Wolves 17U)
Lincoln Way East small forward that has had a monster spring for the Illinois T-Wolves. It is his all-out motor and intensity on both ends that were impactful. Ran the floor hard for points, handles it in space, and loves to slash in the half court. Finishes well in the paint on drives along with posting up smaller defenders. Quick on the offensive glass as he is a good rebounder for a wing. Flashes playmaking with the rock in his hands.
Caden Hawkins Caden Hawkins 5'11" | PG Carterville | 2023 State IL (Illinois Bears Parr 17U)
Hawkins has steadily seen his name rise up the board with strong outings this spring. Grown, stronger, and more skilled all-around game. With Fridley out he played mostly on the ball and displayed an improved passing feel to go along with his elite pull up game from mid-range and three.
Peyton Cook (Illini Magic 17U)
At 6’6” Cook has excellent positional size where he can get his shot off from pretty much everywhere on the floor. He was really good at getting to his spot and rising over his defender with ease for jumpers and threes. Can be a bit streaky at times and with his athleticism we would like to see him be in attack mode more, but the tools of this Lincoln wing jump off the floor at you!
