I had boots on the ground in Louisville today to bring coverage from both events. Here are eight of the top performers with Indiana ties that stood out throughout the day.
Kanon Catchings Kanon Catchings 6'8" | PF Overtime Elite (GA) | 2024 #31 Nation GA (Brownsburg H.S. 2024/Indy Heat 2024 EYBL): The buzz around this 6’6″ wing is starting to get louder. Already known as a catch-and-shoot threat with good size, Catchings continues to improve off of the dribble as well. Had a couple of really impressive baseline drives on Saturday attacking a closeout.
Garwey Dual Garwey Dual 6'5" | PG Carmel | 2023 #113 Nation CA-S (Carmel H.S. 2023/George Hill All Indy 2023): Another day, another great performance for one of the biggest stock-risers of the spring. I spoke with one national scout on Saturday who said Dual might leap into the Top 50 in their next update. Elite driver, makes good decisions on the fly, and can guard nearly every position.
Jeremy Fears Jeremy Fears 6'1" | PG La Lumiere | 2023 GA (La Lumiere 2023/Indy Heat 2023 EYBL): This dynamic playmaker was a triple-double waiting to happen on Saturday in Louisville. The Michigan State bound point guard stuffed the stat sheet for 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists in Indy Heat’s first win and followed it up with 12, 5, and 5 in the evening.
Jaquan Ingram Jaquan Ingram 6'3" | SG Anderson | 2023 State IN (Anderson H.S. 2023/Indy EBC Blue 2023): Ingram is an under-the-radar prospect that can really score the basketball. He shoots it well from beyond the arc, creates his own opportunities off of the dribble, and is a good athlete. Having a really nice spring for Indy EBC.
Damien King Damien King 6'4" | SF Anderson | 2025 State IN (Anderson H.S. 2023/George Hill All Indy 2025): King stood out as much as anyone today over at the Grassroots Invitational brought to you by NY2LA. He has noticeably grown as a legitimate 6’3″-6’4″ now and is very strong for his age. Outstanding driver who can finish through contact around the basket.
Jacob Meyer Jacob Meyer 6'2" | PG Holy Cross Covington | 2023 #170 Nation GA (Covington H.S. 2023/Indy Heat 2023 EYBL): Meyer led Indy Heat 17u in scoring both times they played today and helped bring home a pair of victories. After going for 16 points in a blowout win over Strive For Greatness in the Morning, the Western Kentucky commit came back with 24 points on 8-10 shooting in the nightcap over Team Thad.
Jaymen Townsend Jaymen Townsend 6'6" | SF Marion | 2025 State #248 Nation IN (Marion H.S. 2025): This physical wing dominated in George Hill All Indy’s easy victory on Saturday afternoon. His strength, athleticism, and guard-like skill at 6’5″ was just too much for his opponent as he got to the basket and finished consistently.
