Cooper Brown Cooper Brown 6'4" | SF Milton-Union | 2023 OH , 6’4 SF Milton-Union 2023 Mid Ohio Pumas Price 17 U: Brown has a game that isn’t flashy, but was highly productive on Saturday. With backdoor cuts and leak outs, Brown had a lot of easy buckets for his team in a blowout win over Emerge Elite. Brown can also get up a bit as he threw down a dunk in transition. Not usually the top scorer on his team, Brown fits his role well on a squad that’s found some success this spring.
Henri Young Henri Young 6'7" | PF Centennial | 2023 State OH , 6’7 PF Centennial 2023 Mid Ohio Pumas Price 17 U: Young is super intriguing as he’s a legit shot-maker at 6’7 with a long wingspan. Young has excellent hand-eye coordination for a prospect his size as all of his misses even looked like they had a chance at going in. Young needs time to polish his game and some reps in the weight room would help as well, but there’s plenty to work with right now. Young should be high on the radars of JUCO and Prep programs looking for a stretch-4 who could be a late bloomer in the 2023 class.
Jamie Rivers Jr Jamie Rivers Jr 6'8" | C Emmanuel Christian | 2023 State OH , 6’8 C Emmanuel Christian 2023 CCB 17 U: College coaches always ask for size and Rivers has that and then some. At 6’8 and probably around 240 pounds, Rivers is a force around the basket. Rivers took advantage of some smaller defenders and had his way in the paint at times. Guys his size are the furthest thing from being a dime a dozen so he’ll get some looks to play at the next level for sure.
Parker Penrod Parker Penrod 5'9" | PG Troy Christian | 2024 State OH , 5’9 PG Troy Christian 2024 Dayton Elite 16 U: Dayton Elite has had a great start to the Memorial Classic, with some big wins at both the 17 U and 16 U level. Penrod was one prospect for their program who stood out with his ability to change pace with the ball in his hands. Penrod also used his lack of size to his advantage on the offensive end as it was tough to stay in front of him and he changes direction effortlessly. Penrod can also knock down open shots when he’s left alone and could really break out as a junior in SW Ohio.
Devin Rakestraw Devin Rakestraw 6'6" | PF Chaminade Julienne | 2024 State OH , 6’5 PF Chaminade Julienne 2024 Dayton Elite 16 U: Rakestraw was the pick and roll partner for Wes Enis Wes Enis 6'2" | SG Miami East | 2024 OH as the duo combined for a lot of buckets next to Penrod this afternoon. Rakestraw was efficient around the basket and finished off a variety of passes from his guards. With the transfers of the Washington brothers, there’s going to be a lot of eyes on CJ this winter and Rakestraw could be the big winner with the added exposure brought.
