Avonte Wiggins, B3 Athletics, 25″
Avonte and Leo Perettie Leo Perettie 5'11" | PG Grosse Pointe North | 2025 State MI of the Michigan Goonies went back and forth during their game, trading shot for shot for an extended period of time in the second half. Avonte rose to the occasion, hitting step-back threes and penetrating the lane for quality buckets to help his team come away with the hard-fought win.
Leo Perettie Leo Perettie 5'11" | PG Grosse Pointe North | 2025 State MI , Michigan Goonies 25″
As previously mentioned, Leo was involved in one of the more exciting back-and-forths between two guards that had their shots locked in. I was impressed with Leo’s dribble package as he seemed to have one of the deeper bags that kept the defender on his heels. Leo also pulled off a nasty spin move in the lane that he capped off with a layup.
Alex Granville, Midwest Aces 25″
Alex had a solid shooting performance in his game against the West Michigan Lakers (Black 25″). Alex knocked down a handful of perimeter jumpers and looked consistent with his shooting form. A number of times he faced a solid contest, but still made the shot with a hand in his face.
Judah Bartels, WM Lakers Blast 25″
Judah had a number of impressive finishes in transition for the West Michigan Lakers (Blast 25″). On two possessions in a row, Judah got out in transition and made tough floaters in a crowded lane. One, in particular, was impressive due to Judah’s ability to get two feet in the paint off a jump stop and finish through contact.
Aryn Taylor, West Michigan Lakers Gold 25″
Aryn found a living driving the lane in his game against United Pursuit 25.” A couple of impressive moves featured a spin-move into a layup and a hesitation dribble that sucked in the defense, allowing Aryn to kick it out to a teammate for an open three. Aryn was intent on feeding his teammates and was successful in doing so due to the defense collapsing on his dribble-drive.
