Our top 5 includes Cameron Boozer Cameron Boozer 6'9" | PF Columbus | 2025 State #2 Nation FL , Alexander Lloyd Alexander Lloyd 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2025 State #64 Nation FL , Jamier Jones Jamier Jones 6'5" | SF Sarasota Riverview | 2025 State #16 Nation FL , Cayden Boozer Cayden Boozer 6'5" | PG Columbus | 2025 State #28 Nation FL , and Shon Abaev Shon Abaev 6'7" | CG Calvary Christian | 2025 State #24 Nation FL , all guys who hold multiple high major D1 offers. This class isn’t playing around, that’s why we’ve taken a roundtable approach to discussing our top 50 prospects and guys that could sneak in when rankings our expanded.
Which prospect from your area is ranked too low?
Allen Pettigrew Jr.: My pick is #21, Caleb Sanders Caleb Sanders 6'6" | SF Bell Creek Academy | 2025 State FL . Sanders runs into the issue of playing for a small school that the FHSAA won’t recognize until the 22-23 season. He hasn’t received the attention of someone with the size and physical tools he possesses should garner at this stage in the game. Gifted with 6’5 size, an impeccable motor, and athleticism that rivals prospects near the top of this stellar class, the Winthrop College Prep wing is full of two-way upside.
Mark Holland: #20 Gustavo Guimaraes Gustavo Guimaraes 6'10" | C Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL
Who has the potential to outplay their ranking?
Allen Pettigrew Jr.: I’ll cheat on this question and give two answers: Dante Allen Dante Allen 6'5" | SF Riviera Prep | 2025 State #57 Nation FL and Jerry Ashley Jerry Ashley 6'7" | PF Bishop Verot | 2025 State FL . Allen is a thick and explosive 6’5 athlete that’s making waves on the EYBL circuit. If he continues to produce against national competition and helps Nightrydas Elite make a deep push at Peach Jam, it’ll be hard to keep him out of the top 10. I struggled to place Ashley, but the mobility, defensive potential, and size are all there for the 6’7 forward.
Mark Holland: Tae Gelsey Tae Gelsey 6'4" | CG Riverside | 2025 State FL – 2025 (Riverside)
Who do you think will play their way onto this list?
Allen Pettigrew Jr.: The Prep Hoops Circuit has given me a front row seat to some very talented 2025 prospects.
Sunshine Elite’s frontcourt of 6’6 Jaden Wilkerson and 6’4 Cameron Bryant are having terrific summer ball seasons and should see expanded roles with their high school teams. They could flash massive growth during June basketball camps. If that happens, it will be hard to deny that they’ve taken a step in the right direction.
Florida Kings is dripping with guard talent, with Josiah Cotto Josiah Cotto 5'7" | PG Kissimmee Osceola | 2025 FL and Jordan Mundle Jordan Mundle 6'1" | CG Kissimmee Osceola | 2025 FL both making our previous 2025 watch list. #47 Alex Springs is the leader of this club, but Cotto and Mundle are right behind him. Cotto is a smooth ball handler and playmaker that rarely turns the ball over. He also played minutes on an Osceola team that made a deep playoff run, losing to a final four participant. Mundle is in a similar position. As a 6’1 guard who scores in transition with regularity, he’s still one to monitor in this class.
Outside of the Circuit, several freshmen are coming off great high school seasons but played at much smaller schools than many of the guys that made the cut.
Coy Sizemore Coy Sizemore 5'10" | PG North Marion | 2025 FL from Meadowbrook Academy was a top 5 scorer in the state as a freshman giving 2A competition 25.6 points a game. O’Cien Valdes and Noah lynch were two freshmen that scored 15 or more a game. Von Hatter, Carter Kuzmin, Noah Perko, Mario Forbes Mario Forbes 6'7" | PF St. John Paul II | 2025 State FL , and Ryan Pritchard are all small school kids that were nearly double-double contributors all year. Lyrique Sartin Lyrique Sartin 6'0" | PG Brooks DeBartolo | 2025 FL , Waylen Kahakua, and Gary Nevarez were their team’s leading assist men.
Mark Holland: Karrington Johnson – 2025 (Bishop Snyder)
