Kevin Rios (The Woo Elite 2024)- Rios made his presence known in every game he played with the woo elite. Rios has great size for a point guard, a nice change of pace, a strong body, and as other scouts have told me, they love his floater game in the paint. Kevin plays with a lot of passion and wears his emotion on his sleeves about how he is feeling throughout the game. What might be most impressive about Kevin’s game is that he doesn’t settle for jumpers, he loves to get to the rim. Rios reads the defense really well, when it looks like he’s forcing it, it works out for his woo elite team. Rios has the leadership personality and wears that trait well, he’s entertaining to watch and will be the focal point when opposing players are matched up with him.
Christian Wiggins (Team Tyus 2026) 6’1″- Wiggins for Team Tyus is a big-time playmaker. Calm demeanor, really good finisher, has a smooth stroke beyond the 3-point line and makes the extra passes. You love Wiggins’s ability to finish off of 2 feet when he finishes at the rim both in a halfcourt set or in transition. Christian showed how well mature he is by not shooting bad shots when forced off the 3-point line. With Christian being so young with his size and having the experience of playing up, he will be a problem against other teams for years to come.
Nolan Mcdonald (Team Iowa 2024) 6’0″- One of the things that I love about Nolan is his work ethic. Nolan goes hard the entire time he’s on the floor and is always looking to make a winning play. At 6’ he loves to attack the rim and does a good job of finishing through contact using his strength to power through defenders. After watching him play he can stretch the floor and hit open jumpers when he needs to help his Iowa team gain the lead.
Jyson Kim (Wolfpack 2025) 6’2″- Kim, the 6’2″ wing from wolfpack out of Oklahoma is an all-around player that you will love. Jyson ability to get the rebound and push the tempo by himself and make a play might be one of the X factors for the wolfpack. Kim has a nice jumper that will catch you by surprise when he shoots it. He finishes well at the rim no matter if he’s getting the drop-off, or he’s on a one-man fastbreak. As Kim continues to develop, he will become a huge factor in the wolfpack’s success for summers to come. On the defensive end, he moves well laterally, helping him keep players in front. Around the rim, he contests shots and even blocks them without fouling.
Jamarion Lee (Minnesota Hoopers 2024) 6’1″- Lee is a favorable player for most scouts for multiple reasons. Starting on the defensive end, the hoopers played a 2-3 which lee sat in the back of but was extremely active getting his hands on cross-court passes helping him get out in transition. Jamarion seems to be the head of the snake for this Minnesota team, helping them rally from a comeback to team Iowa, they managed to follow his lead and win the game. His ability to be shifty with the ball when creating one on one situations and score for himself is really the engine of what this Minnesota thrives on. Once he realizes he attracted the whole team, he makes a play for his team and puts them in great scoring situations.
