Anthony Ruffolo Anthony Ruffolo 5'10" | PG Archbishop Alter | 2023 State OH , 6’0 PG Kettering Alter 2023: Ruffolo had a big time junior season for Alter, a regional champion. Ruffolo is an efficient shooter who takes care of the ball and finds way to be productive. Ruffolo and Zion Crowe Zion Crowe 6'4" | SG Springfield Shawnee | 2023 State OH have also impressed for Dayton Elite this spring, I’m excited to watch that duo in May. Ruffolo might not scare you in warm-ups with his tiny frame, but his production speaks for itself, Ruffolo was one of the most impactful players in the gcl co-ed last year.
Gavin Geisel Gavin Geisel 6'0" | SG Alter | 2023 State OH , 6’0 SG Kettering Alter 2023: Geisel didn’t put up quite the numbers that Ruffolo did during the high school season, but Geisel is tearing it up for All Ohio Select this spring. Allowed to really focus on scoring the basketball and playing freely, Geisel has taken a clear step this spring and is playing the best basketball of his career. If Geisel can keep up this positive momentum, I wouldn’t be surprised if scholarship programs start asking about him.
Rayquan Thompson Rayquan Thompson 6'0" | PG Solon | 2023 State OH , 6’0 PG Solon 2023: Thompson had a solid season for Solon and despite not seeing him during the high school season, I was unsurprised to see Thompson’s clear step that he took from the last time I saw him. Thompson plays well for OBC next to other guards Terrance Pankey Jr Terrance Pankey Jr 6'0" | PG Ursuline | 2023 State OH and Justin Wypasek Justin Wypasek 5'10" | PG Strongsville | 2023 State OH , bringing a three headed monster in the back-court that has a lot of ball-handling and tough on-ball defense. You win games at the high school and grassroots level with guards and OBC is a prime example of that being the case.
Jake Bishop Jake Bishop 6'0" | CG Findlay | 2023 State OH , 5’11 CG Findlay 2023: Bishop was a guy who kinda came out of nowhere to produce heavily for Findlay last season and find himself on the all conference team in the TRAC. An undersized guard, Bishop worked well playing off Max Roth Max Roth 6'1" | PG Findlay | 2022 State OH and was able to knock down a high percentage of catch and shoot opportunities. I’ve pretty much always thought Bishop was more of a 2 guard than a 1, but he’s always been surrounded by guards like Roth and Solomon Callaghan Solomon Callaghan 6'0" | PG Wadsworth | 2023 State OH to handle the primary point guard responsibilities. I’ll be interested to see how Bishop handles being the number one guy on the scouting report for Findlay next season. If he continues to increase his scoring production, he could continue to rise in the rankings.
