There were eight teams of players ranging from unsigned seniors to current freshman looking for off-season competition and exposure. I watched two games each day and admittedly so, I missed one of the teams plus some of the players did not show up when I watched.
Here were the 2025 standouts I viewed in the two days:
Imisi Motunde Imisi Motunde 6'6" | SF International Sports Academy | 2025 OH AZ Compass Prep
A thicker wing forward who can shoot, rebound and handle it. He can fall away on his defender and has a nice looking 3pt stroke. He moves well for his size and he also happens to be the one of the youngest players in the class. His strength and skill standout.
Caspian Jones Caspian Jones 6'7" | SF St. Mary's | 2025 State AZ Phase One Prep (Pictured)
A strong upper bodied and thicker forward who can handle it and score through contact. He is very fluid to play in space and collect many steals with his strong and quick hands. He throws it down on the break easily, as he can palm the ball, and is a stud on the glass for put backs. He is also a good 3pt shooter when he is in rhythm.
Jaion Pitt Jaion Pitt 6'7" | PF Canyon International Academy | 2025 State #90 Nation AZ Dream City Christian
A long and athletic power forward is one of the top rebounders in the class. He plays with an incredible motor and uses his athleticism, length and sheer will to clean the glass. He handles the ball well with ridiculously big hands and he can score inside and out. He has a nice hook shot and rips through easily scoring with a nice layup package.
D’Andre Harrison D’Andre Harrison 6'5" | PF Perry | 2025 State AZ Perry
A long and gifted small forward is slowly extending his range to the three point line. His best skill is still his mid-range jumper with good ball rotation. He uses his length, strength and IQ to rebound at a good rate.
Brennan Peterson Brennan Peterson 6'0" | PG Notre Dame Prep | 2025 State AZ Notre Dame Prep
A high IQ pure point guard with a good feel for the game. He has a quick burst to get to the basket and is good with the floater game. He can shoot it with the best of them in the class from both levels.
Hayden Maynard Hayden Maynard 6'0" | PG Pheonix Prep (PHH) | 2026 AZ Odyssey Prep
Maynard gets hot very quickly. He plays the game with a high IQ, He hits deep triples on the norm and gets the ball out of his hand quickly. He makes good decisions and moves the ball to an open teammate. He thinks and plays fast.
Tracy Kalonda Tracy Kalonda 6'3" | SF Dream City Christian | 2025 State AZ Dream City Christian
A super strong downhill forward is steadily improving his skill. He can fall away from his defender and makes 3’s more consistently. He will rebound the ball at a good clip with his burly framed and will push the ball.
Cassidee Miles Cassidee Miles 6'5" | SF Central | 2025 AZ Poston Butte
A newcomer for me is a long and muscular lefty wing forward. He can rip through and go to work as he scores it multiple ways in the paint. He can give a hard shot fake and dribble passed his opponents. He rebounds it well for position and will dribble the ball up the court and find a teammate. He can make strides with his three point shooting but has a lot to like for the 4A school.
