Mason Combs | 5’10 G | RSE Basketball 2024 Black
Combs played a great lead guard for a loaded RSE squad. Handled pressure well, got to the rim at a high clip, and was a big playmaker for his squad. He’s got a great handle, ability to finish against contact. He shot it well but his ability to create for himself or teammates while fending off some pressure was what stood out to me.
Trent Patterson | 5’9 G | Victory Academy 2024 White
This kid had a performance today that he most likely won’t forget anytime soon. Game tying floater to send it into OT, then knocked down a contested mid range, drew the foul, and converted on the and-1 to give his team 50-47 lead in OT. To follow that up he iced the game with two free throws with around three or four seconds left to seal the 52-47 win. Tight handle, three level scorer, and a clutch player.
Jalen Hanes | 6’1 G | Team Devoted 2024
Really liked what I saw out of Hanes game. He’s got quite the finishing package. He was able to rise above the defense and finish, but also didn’t shy from contact as he finished a couple hard lays in transition. Smooth jumper that he gets out in a hurry. Catch and shoot was lighting quick, can shoot off the bounce as well. Moves well off ball.
Merkv Torrance | 5’10 G | Team Movement 2024
Rim running guard that will find a way to finish. Torrance can flat out play. His finishing ability is second to none, no matter what the defense throws at him he will find a way to finish. High offensive IQ, found soft spots in the 2-3 and attacked that way.
Trey Morgan | 6’1 G | JEB Elite 2024
Silky smooth guard that can compete. Here is another guard with quite the layup package. Finished a handful of contested layups, reverse, up and under, inside hand, you name it he has it in his bag. He’s got a tight handle and can distribute well.
