A rangy 6-5 wing who can do a little bit of everything on the floor, it’s easy to see why Cooley has put up such big numbers during his first two high school seasons. He has good size and length, handles it well, and is a really good and creative passer. He showed a smooth stroke from behind the arc and has a solid frame that he can continue to add strength to, which will allow him to become a more effective finisher around the rim.
SG Grant Tigges Grant Tigges 6'4" | SG Waukee Northwest | 2024 State IA (Waukee Northwest)
A 6-4 wing with excellent range, Tigges was a solid role player as a sophomore for one of 4A’s best teams, and he looks like he’s ready to take his game up another notch. He was nearly automatic as a shooter off the catch in the game that we caught against All-Iowa Attack East, routinely coming off of screens and knocking down shots with a smooth release on his shot. The biggest area of improvement, however, looks like his ability to create his own shot. He was able to use his shooting to open up the rest of his arsenal, putting the ball on the floor and getting to the rim for a number of finishes. He’s a strong rebounder on both ends of the floor and a solid team defender.
PG Luke Hart Luke Hart 5'11" | PG Waukee Northwest | 2024 State IA (Waukee Northwest)
The younger brother of former Waukee lead guard Noah Hart, Luke is a sharpshooting lead guard with unlimited range and a lightning-quick release on his shot. He’s a really good ball-handler who uses his quickness and handles to shake by defenders and get into the teeth of the defense before kicking out to open shooters.
SG Jackson Green (Dallas Center-Grimes)
A 6-0 off-ball guard, Green shot the ball really well off the catch, showing a quick release and extended range. He moves well off the ball, constantly in motion to keep his defender working, and he has his feet squared and ready to shoot on the catch.
SF Owen Schipper (Waukee)
A lanky forward who rebounds well on both ends of the floor, Schipper showed a nose for the ball, constantly in the right spot. He has good hands and uses his length effectively as a defender, getting into passing lanes and turning defense into offense.
