The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop number 5 sends us to Irvine California, for the Hustle In The Sun, where we will have everyone playing under one roof inside the Momentous Sports Arena. Here’s a look at the 16U All-Tournament Team.
1st Team
Jael Martin 6’7 SF LA Elite 2024 – Martin earned 1st team honors because of his playmaking and a combination of size and athleticism. He is trending in the direction of a D1 guy, combining length, and size with an abundance of skill.
Amaan Zavahir 6’3 SG LA Elite 2024 – Loved how easy it was for Zavahir to score the basketball. It’s difficult to pinpoint his top skill, but he’s above average at several. His ability to shoot the ball and play above the rim made him an easy choice for All-Tournament Team selection.
Derek Tuason 5’8 PG Coastal Elite 2024 – Tuason is a winner with a strap. His shooting helped Coastal to a 3-1 record on the weekend. The PG is a top-notch high IQ floor spacer that is the type of player any successful team has.
Donovan Larry 5’8 PG IE Fire 2024 – Continued improvement on a winning squad. Larry earned his spot on the team partly because of his consistency. Larry is a slasher who can shoot the ball and was the catalyst for a 3-1 weekend for the Fire.
Jackson Young 6’2 SG Swoosh Elite – Young is a prospect to keep an eye on. He shoots the ball well from behind the arc, however, his playmaking and slashing move him up in the rankings. He plays with a toughness associated with all clover kids, and behind his leadership and shooting, helped Swoosh to a 4-0 record.
