Held over two days(Saturday 5/7 and Sunday 5/8), the event featured a lot of up and coming talent. I was at the event both days and I focused on watching the 15U division. Here’s a look at some additional standout players I saw.
1. Joshua Robinson – Coastal Elite 2025
Robinson came off the bench in the game I saw, but he made an immediate impact. He’s trusted as the primary ball-handler whether he was playing with the starters or playing off the bench. Makes good entry passes to the post for a young player. He can find cutters coming down the lane. His defense also stood out, he’s good on-ball and can force players into difficult passes. Active, quick hands to tie up the ball-handler. He rebounds well, especially in traffic.
2. Michael Brown – Coastal Elite 2025
Brown is a solid, developing big man. He can get good post position but has to work on being a little more patient when finishing. He can stretch the floor with his three-point shooting. Good pick and pop player who sets solid screens. Rebounds well with proper box outs. Versatile defensively, he puts up a wall in the paint and he can move his feet well and stay in front of ball-handlers on a switch.
3. Mason Lima – IE Fire Select 2025
Lima was playing as a big in the lineup that I saw him in, but he plays like a wing. What impressed me the most about his game was his playmaking ability. He sees the floor really well in the halfcourt. Can run the pick and roll as the ball-handler and is a good passer when the screener rolls. He can handle the ball and he has a little floater when the defense pressures him to put the ball on the floor.
4. Brandon Stapleton Brandon Stapleton 6'4" | CG Chandler | 2026 State AZ – AZ Gremlins 2 2025
Stapleton is a big combo guard. In the games that I saw him, he was confident in his role either as a the playmaker or as a scoring option. A good ball-handler who can get to his spots on the court. Uses spin moves to bump off the defense and get into the lane. He’s able to draw contact at the rim and get himself to the free-throw line.
