Reph Stevenson Reph Stevenson 6'7" | PF Hamilton Southeastern | 2023 State IN 6-8 Hamilton Southeastern (IN) Simply put has game changing physical measurables. Not many players can match his mix of size and speed. The wide bodied post was an intimidating presence all weekend for D1 Indiana. Protected the rim with not only with his size but also the ability to move his feet. Has broad shoulders and a thick frame that he carries well. Explosive elevation and finishes well above the rim. A top 40 player in the state of Indiana. With the athletic upside to potentially be a division 1 recruit.
Deaglan Sullivan Deaglan Sullivan 6'2" | PG Mishawaka Marian | 2023 State IN 6-2 2023 Mishawaka Marian (IN) On Saturday morning I was blown away by the extra gear shown by 2025 point guard Paxan Sullivan. Not being an Indiana based writer I asked around to find some additional info. The prevailing statement was “wait until you see his brother”. On Sunday I saw his brother. This combo guard absolutely went off against Michigan based CTM Select. Scored 32 points. Everyone of them was needed in the tight victory. What was more impressive was how he got those points. Usually when you see a scoring output like that it features some work from beyond the arc. Sullivan had two threes. Everything this else was from two or at the line. Accordingly was good at drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. Coming off a deep tournament run in the regular season and set up for a big senior season.
Austin Cripe Austin Cripe 6'3" | SG West Noble | 2023 State IN 6-3 2023 West Noble (IN) We’ll finish off our trio of Hoosier state game changers with this versatile scorer. Started off the weekend with a 23 point outing on Friday night and continued his strong play all weekend. Didn’t have that scoring output on Sunday. But impacted the game in other ways in a close loss to Southern Indiana Blaze. It was his squad’s only loss of the weekend. Showed improved ball handling and distribution in that contest. If he can continue to show the ability to play point. You could be looking at an intriguing college prospect. The scoring skill set is there in bunches. Already a 1,000 point scorer in his scholastic career and has an excellent academic profile.
Sam Avent 6-7 2023 Tuscaloosa Northside (AL) It’s not all football in Tuscaloosa. Last week in Memphis I was impressed with guard Grant Stubbs Grant Stubbs 6'1" | SG Tuscaloosa County | 2023 State AL . This weekend T-Town presented this developing big. Avent has a thick frame and protected the rim very well. But he is also mobile and moves his feet well out in space. Was able to hedge out hard on ball screens to shut down penetration. Especially late in a clutch victory over the Memphis Storm. Has good hands that he showed on a clutch late tip in.
Joshua Burchette 6-6 2023 Memphis Central (TN) I caught this long and lanky wing last weekend at Bluff City Blues in his hometown of Memphis. I was once again impressed as he travelled about 400 miles north. Played a lot of point last weekend with Weasel Elite. Was able to move off the ball more playing with the Memphis Storm. Size allows him to easily shoot over defenders. Also uses an explosive spin move to create space. This space is needed as he has a very wiry frame. In addition to adding bulk. Will need to work on developing his off hand. Helps that he is left handed. But West Alabama Elite played him hard to his left during crunch time of the buzzer beating loss.
